@@stuarthowells1151 New Milton has a great (if not tiny) real ale bar called the Hourglass which is just be the train station. I also like the Wheatsheaf and the Badger Ales pub. Each New Forest village has a couple of pubs but the beer selection is limited. A couple of standouts are The Saxon in Christchurch, The Vibrant Tap in Lyndhurst and Monkey Brewhouse in Lymington 🍻

@@stuarthowells1151 Bournemouth does have some great pubs but they are tucked up on the hill on the far side of town. The Goat and All Hail The Ale are personal favourites 👍🏻

@@thehoppytraveller Thanks for that. Such a relief you like the Wheatsheaf. Been looking at it on google maps. Only 0.3 miles. 5 minute walk home.

@@stuarthowells1151 I used to play for New Milton so went to both regularly. Badger smart and Foodie, Wheatsheaf a proper pub with great garden. Crafty Tap in this video has unfortunately closed!

@@ABeerADayWithTK it was a tongue in cheek joke but been brilliant watching the sessions with Don and a worthy recommendation. Two styles which are hard to get hold of and much appreciated that Don popped them down 🍻

Everyone else liked it - a lager margarita - but Dubbel the one for me. Needed it after all that sun and beer, don’t know why we do it to ourselves 😂 🍻

@@DonsBeerReviews it’s a little cafe usually but they’ve put that up for Wimbledon and the Football (and Olympics if they can get away with it). They were only selling Spanish lager which says it all really 😂. Dubbel was a crackjack 🍻

There is a DEYA poster outside but you’d never know it really. Highly recommended if you’re ever back there and want to spend some serious money / like Fuss Club but without the delivery time 🍻

@@thehoppytraveller I haven’t, I love chillies I used to make chilli sauce from my home grown chillies I called it Ricky Ricky sauce. But I’m not sure I’d like it in a beer not at all 🤪

It was definitely one for the hot heads Dave, they put the chilli into the mash! Not something I’d usually order so maybe a happy mistake. Mrs Slurp knows a dead cert when she sees one 😂🍻

I’d love to see the bottle shop that beat it! There was a reason why the joke was last 😂

Cheers Mr B, they did indeed put habanero into the mash. Good if you like your chilli but I do not 😂 well done on volunteering for the extra pain. I’ve only had their beers on draught but will see if I can pick some tins up while I’m here for you 🍻

England has a lot of small towns stuffed with pubs - really enjoyed the few pints! Band in the background are from Castleton, not heard them before but great blues rock 🤘🏻🍻

I could have stayed there all afternoon - the designated driver was less keen 😂. Did stretch to a second though. It’s a bit hard to get to but 5 pubs there now so deserves a full video I think!

Cheers Rick, two of my favourites and always nice to put the occasional dark beer in there. Struggle to get those styles in the local pubs so having a tap room and shop that does is brilliant 🍻

Thank you, good to know there are at least 500 pub heads out there. It has shop hours so often closes about 8 but there, Saxon Bar and The Snug are great for local beers if you do pop up. Love a few beers down Weymouth quay - do DBC have a pub there do you know? 🍻

Thanks Don - IPA from Pipes was a cracker but great to have an old school pint of Brains too. Tricky to find too many songs where she isn’t belting it out 😂🍻

I really enjoyed the town, popped over to Skopelos and noted the difference. Thassos probably my favourite island so far 🍻

It’s a great city, get around most of it on foot. The 70k rugby stadium is right in the middle too. Spoilt for choice on pubs, might need a few weeks but worth the effort to try them all 😂 🍻

Pipes did a good pilsner I thought and I find the beers in Tiny Rebel are always well kept. Compact city and got everywhere on foot 🍻

It was a very expensive afternoon and a bit of a treat - great to see there are still a good few ales at that price still out there 🍻

@@thehoppytraveller yes! The prices here in Canada for craft beer are very reasonable actually so that’s one thing! Also some of the best beer I’ve had in my life! Can’t wait to get the vlogs together and show!

It is a fabulous town and the Alhambra is proper amazing. Malaga, Cordoba and Seville and all within a few hours down in that corner and well worth it. The Roja is amazing but can’t beat a radler sometimes 😂 🌞 🍋

Welcome along - Epsom this weekend but expecting the beer selection to be terrible!

So much choice in that central area, had a great two days even though the cricket got washed out (sunny either side of that typically). Pipes was a swalk but glad we did it 🍻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

That is sad news, they do a great stout and the Cardiff tap room is really good 🍻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Some good pubs and pints to compensate Dave, ground is walking distance to town and sunshine either side of the 4 hour cricket slot - typical 😂 Great stouts from TR - I drank it way too quickly 🍻

It’s good to see them still going, had hoped for a Dark or Black but SA is great there and a nice job on that tap room. A couple of small brewers emerging and the Pipes pint was spectacular 🍻

Just started visiting micro pubs, brilliant, can see it becoming a hobby

Great news, do get very nice touches in the smaller places. Less people to groan over the bad jokes too 😂
