All these relationships? This album was primarily an emotional dump after the end of SEVEN year long relationship with a long term boyfriend she thought she was going to marry. A lot of her songs on other albums have nothing to do with relationships. She has songs about family, her mother, her grandmother, grandfather, the pandemic, miscarriage, life struggles, lgbtq rights, and on and on. Also her folklore and evermore albums were primarily fiction and not about her own life. Also she plays multiple instruments and writes/composes all of her own songs. 65+ songs (including a full album - speak now) list her as the SOLE writer/composer. The rest of the songs list just 1 other co-writer, her producer. She solely wrote and composed at least 5 songs on the TTPD album & anthology (listed as the only composer and writer). The rest list just her and her producer. And this album was created while she was on tour the last two years… crazy! Anyway you’ve clearly never listened to her albums. Go listen to “Reputation”, 1989”, and “fearless”…… And then come back and tell me she hasn’t evolved musically lol. You would never think the same artist made those 3 albums…. They sound completely different.

I’m a 66yo guy whose fave, prior to Taylor, was Metallica (but I’ve always had wide-ranging tastes in music). I love this album. BTW: statistically speaking, 25% of her fans are boomers and over 40% are male, so you are factually wrong if you believe that her music only appeals to young girls. I don’t mind that you don’t like Taylor’s music. Subjective tastes vary, and that’s a good thing. In fact, you are of great interest to me precisely because you don’t like her. I know this is a lot to ask but I would love to see you react to more of her songs, if you think you can survive the auditory torture and are willing to bear heaps of nasty comments from aggravated swifties. As a philosopher and science nerd, I’m interested in the global TSwift phenomena from a psychological and sociological perspective. Virtually all reactors, so far as I have seen, either like her music from the start, or they end up liking her after listening to a few songs (or they are lying and just pretend to like her for clicks from swifties). Thus, I have trouble finding anyone who listens to her music AND hates her. Lots of people hate her, but in virtually every case that I can find, they are mostly ignorant of her music and are heavily influenced by a bunch of factually incorrect ideas (as you seem to be). Thus, if you are willing to humor an old man for a few more videos, I would be happy to subscribe and you could help me gather some data that I have been missing. This album is definitely a grower, still not my favorite. She definitely has songs where she does acknowledge that she's the problem, literally anti-hero is one of them. Folklore and Evermore are introspective albums as well.
