Aww man,,, But I totally understand as a life long Californian. I have been retired from law enforcement for 6 years but now have to go back to work to keep up with rising costs. Thank you for all the great (and sometimes "less than...") Surf Bands' music in badly lit venues from SoCal. I grew up in Pasadena, moved to AZ in '77 and retired~ 4 years ago. Maybe I can "buy you a beer" or whatever, after you get settled (I'm in the E. valley of Phoenix, but love to drive too)

I was born and raised in LA and the South Bay. I grew up in Inglewood. First girlfriend was in Westchester. Hung out in Torrance and Manhattan Beach. Wasn't until 1981 that I finally heard the Bel Airs' Bedlam, on Jim Dunfrund's Surf Wave, on KXLU every Thursday night at 10 pm. That tune was soooo amazing and I got chills hearing it. I think it was pilfered for the Munsters theme, which was several years after Bedlam was released, and more in my era. Hearing Mr PJ talk about the South Bay venues, hangouts, and even venturing over the border to the OC, just brings tears of happiness to my old eyes. Still working to get competent on the bass!
