"Partnership is the new leadership," says Volvo Group's Guerra
zhlédnutí 84Před měsícem
It might seem an unlikely strategy for an organisation as broad as Volvo Group, but strategic partnerships with others in the transportation arena and beyond is helping to bring results quicker. And at a practical level, it helps to share the load. "It is obviously still a competitive environment," Gustavo Guerra, VP of strategic product planning at Volvo Group says, "but also making sure the t...
"GenAI is a source of early inspiration" says Audi designer
zhlédnutí 117Před měsícem
As a studio engineer prior to his current role at Audi, Daniele Sirigatti knows how designers work - and what makes them tick. For the last few years now he and his team have been building their experience in Generative AI, or GenAI for short, applying it early on in the design process to find new sources of inspiration. Here he tells Ultima Media's chief content officer, Christopher Ludwig, ab...
"Designers and engineers are ultimately all creators" says Tata design boss
zhlédnutí 79Před měsícem
Martin Uhlarik has been on a mission to bring the design and engineering departments together within Tata Motors, and by all accounts he has done that. Part of the breakthrough came as a result of breaking down barriers - both metaphorically and physically, given the layout of the building - and recognising that both sides are working toward a shared goal. Read a summary of the Design4Productio...

What was the name of the first ai tool? 0:44
The tool is called FelGAN and has been used specifically for wheel designs. From Audi: "The name “FelGAN” is a mash-up of the German word for “rim” (Felge) and “GAN”, the latter being an acronym for Generative Adversarial Networks. GANs are a special form of self-learning computer program in which two algorithms compete as opponents during the so-called training, becoming better and better in competition with each other."

THIS GUY ...BLABLABLA..BUT NO SUBSTANCE ..the worst period of bmw design
Well, that’s complete bullshit. How about the 2006 BMW Z4 coupe? One of the most iconic designs coming out of BMW. Timeless.
What is your favourite era of BMW design @onlinenet4891?
Total F'ing BS

Car Design News, I loved this video so much, I had to hit the like button!

He certainly had a fondness for long, low, sweeping designs in his automobiles. In the video, there featured is a silver sleek, wagon-like vehicle which very well should have been the Pontiac Aztec. Toyota produced another such concept just before 1980, with better aesthetics and a camping conversion in its cargo area.
Wholesomely cohesive. Modern lines, elegant yet commodious as well as athletic. What a modern mini MPV ought to be. Hope it makes it to production with minimal alterations. Callum should design the next BMW 2 series active tourer.
Would you wright names pls
straight and strong words. RIP maestro
Rest in peace
RIP Marcello Gandini and Thankyou. x !!
LEGEND - RIP Marcello Gandin and Thankyou
_R.I.P. Marcello_
I would not have been interested in cars if not for Gandini's designs. I always thought maybe some day I could talk to him about designs and cars and art, but now it would never happen. Perhaps heaven summons him for wedge shaped raceabouts that can carry angels around... RIP Mr. Gandini. Good night.
R.I.P.
RIP Marcello Gandini
I enjoyed listening to everybody's options about what they would like to experience in the future... I am more interested in the present and on the past, when they created wonderful vehicle-machines... Furthermore, I want to see them today-modified of course but keeping that retro-style. Referencing the fifth-element-movie! ⬅⬆↗➡↘⬇↙
good to see the black polo-neck cliche still alive and well !
Nice animation
Cooler than the cyber truck
Rest in peace, Peter!
Sustainability is essential in general, but in reference to a Bentley sounds a bit pretentious.
I would invest in some microphones - the audio quality is always poor here. It’s not like you don’t charge people a substantial amount of money for literal articles !
Thanks for the video, please post more content like this.
Thank you for sharing this video. For upcoming designers like me it helps us a lot to understand, what truly happens behind the scenes in the industry.
I like the forum approach but wish the interviewer had been more forceful and asked these reps: “But why is the speed of electronics developments your problem?? Why are you taking it on? Take that shit out of the car…”
I have a hard time seeing this in a constructive angle. He knew saab had just broken free from a drab ownership of gm and was trying to stand out as it's own brand on a fragile peg. But he's kind of shitting on the process. If this is out of competitive spirit, it's shitty. Saab was nowhere near being threatening at this time. But if he's speaking as an experienced designer to a younger designer, he's just being shitty and condescending.
Granted, he has a great leg to stand on, as almost all bmws look like shit now. Total garbage.
Congratulations to Pierre and his design team. Keep up the good work.
Great!!!
Amazing work
👏
This is probably the worst technical quality of any rendered movie I have seen since 2003. I wouldn't even know how they got there, the viewport of any modern 3d app looks better.
I don't know Rick, it seems like they read... Anyway, it looks like if the Russian Dartz made a new model.

🤦 "Promo SM"
Still an amazing concept I would love to see in the real world.
This guy really doesn’t know what he’s talking about… honestly after he came to Citroen, the design of the cars became generic, boring and looking like a non creative toy… it’s a shame for Citroen
Love to hear Derek fedback. So clear information!
Great question and answer! We are facing this environment. I think it is not so odd, and we accept new value and freshness without 100 percent away from tradition and legacy. Thank CDN for the interview session.
Thanks!
Very Interesting view of Pierre on future designs of cars. I hope that he will bring avant-garde designs and solutions to Citroën.
He was the best in his time :c
