Ich war selbst überrascht, dass ich es nochmal zu einem Ironman geschafft habe. Danke an Hotte, der mich in den Schlammasel gebracht hat.
Naja, nach einer viel zu kurzen Trainingsphase hab ich mich dann doch auf den Weg nach Panama City Beach, Florida gemacht. Viel zu heiß, super wellig und quasi eine 180km Gerade beim biken waren nicht gerade ein Vergnügen.

Hey Mirko! Shorts sind kein Problem, sollten aber nicht zu kurz sein. Keine Ahnung ob dich einer rauswerfen aber aus Respekt lieber Knielänge. Keine Tanktops, Schultern sollten schon bedeckt sein. Ansonsten viel Spaß und lass dich faszinieren von den alten Ägyptern...

Cool, dass du auf uns gestoßen bist. Gregor ist der Beste. Er macht das aber nur in der Freizeit, ist ein Kumpel von mir und hat uns dadurch bischen unter die Arme gegriffen. Was hast du denn vor oder was brauchst du genau?

Hattet ihr euch in Namibia um eine offizielle Genehmigung für die Drohne gekümmert? Oder habt ihr versucht nur Abseits von anderen Menschen zu fliegen? Im Sossusvlei sind ja auch immer ein paar Ranger vor Ort...
ALs wir in Namibia waren 2021, haben die Grenzen erst vor kurzem wieder für Touristen aufgemacht. Es war komplett leer im Sossusvlei. Neben uns, sind noch 3-4 andere Personen da gewesen. Ich glaub das kommt sonst nie vor.

I drove the Cairo Luxor road in 2010 on my Honda. Except police checkpoints no problems, no escorts. No tourists, you're really lucky.
Thanks. Definitely an adventure this road. We were surprised by the first escort, but read about it and knew they are just here for our safety. Maybe they've started it after your trip.
Glad that you have decided to cut more videos of your Africa adventure. By now you must have been back to Germany for a while if I got your original time line right. There are good areas (nicht fuer Warmduscher) in the north-east of Namibia to explore. Hope you were able to see beyond the secure tourist tracks in the end.
Thanks Chris. Yeah, everything was planned on the go, so we went on the touristic tracks, also missing our beloved Landy for a bigger off-road adventure. Achim wasn't too great with that.

It’s very sad to see how things have developed in Ethiopia. We hope the people will soon have peace and our problems are obviously peanuts compared to what the country and people are going through. Little spoiler, we didn’t manage to continue the trip with Boggy, but found a new friend. Boggy had a long time alone in Khartoum ahead of him.

Yeah, that big jump on the continent was not planned at all. We weren’t able to bring our car, unfortunately. You will See soon how we continued the trip.
Good to see you guys back. To make decisions in Africa the unknown is always greater than the known and following your gut once you have the information at hand is usually a good decision. Geiles Video. Ich finde es absolut aufregend, durch teils Menschenleere Landschaften stundenlang zu fahren, im Hinterkopf die "Angst" vor Schmugglern und Räubern. Klar, das sind Sorgen auf die man gerne verzichtet, aber dennoch macht es das ganze irgendwie so spannend und aufregend. Ich wäre gerne dabei gewesen :D BTW ihr Lieben eine Frage, würdet ihr sagen, Kairoh/Gizeh/Pyramiden kann man alleine sich frei und sicher bewegen?

I watched your African adventure in one sitting and couldn’t turn it off. It was that interesting. Too bad you got stopped at Sudan. Your conversation is easy to follow with the subtitles but if you want to expand the audience, unfortunately English channels have a wider audience. Also, as far as reliable cars go…. Did you confuse the Land Rover with the Land Cruiser?😀. The Land Rover is a notoriously bad vehicle for reliability despite its off road capabilities. The reliable one is the Toyota Land Cruiser. The older J100 and J80 series LCs. are rock solid with great reliability. LR Defender… not so much lol I really look forward to the continuation of your African adventure. It would be a shame if it ended in Sudan after all the trials and tribulations.
Hey Sam, thanks for you nice message. We actually wanted to get a Land Cruiser in the beginning, but got sidetracked somehow and thought that might be too easy... hahahah... Damn, we've learned a lot during the rebuild of the Defender (and had quite some meltdowns). But in the end the car was awesome and a great connecter to the locals to get in conversations.
@@LivingUnsettled Yeah the Land Rover is notoriously bad for its reliability or lack thereof lol At least the older ones are easy to work on because they are mostly mechanical components. It has its own cult following but the LR is not known for reliability and British Engineering don’t pay much attention to smaller details like the Japanese engineering. I imagine getting a Land Cruiser in EU might be difficult considering they were rarely sold there. But you can get them in South Africa and they still make the old 70 series Land Cruisers in SA. It’s a rock solid reliable vehicle. One good thing the old Land Rovers is it can handle the dirty diesel in Africa. The newer ones are designed to run on Euro 6 and upwards diesel and the computer controls everything. Africa and South America are not good places to drive modern diesels as the fuel has high sulphur. If you complete the African journey, you will go through several fuel filters on Bogdan lol
Einfach nur AUAAA, was ihr da so redet. Ihr wart ganz da unten👇und selbst mit eurer "Gratitude" kommt ihr da einfach nicht raus. Bisschen weniger kolonialherrengesabbel und - auftritt und ganz viel mehr Authentizität. Dann klappt auch mit den Abos. Haha
Naja, haben da leider nichts geplant sondern einfach mal die Kamera drauf gehalten und geschaut was passiert. Hätten wir mehr geplant hätte das wohl alles mehr Sinn gemacht. Aber ist halt eher ne Begleitung unserer Reise gewesen.
