Omega SMP 300 at retail here in Europe is over 6000€. The new Aquaracer is 3500€ so thats a 2500€+ difference. Maybe its worth the difference, maybe not, that depends on each person. For me its not worth the difference and I have that the omega movement has only 55 hr power reserve. The aquaracer has 80 hr power reserve beating at 28.800 bph, 47.5 lug to lug. Il wait half a year to 1 year and buy this TAG at 3000€ or under

I have the PO 600m 43.5mm black dial and bezel, love it will never part with it.

too much going on with the aqua racer - in saying that is the most boring Tudor I've seen - Tudor wins on pedigree for me

I own an older Aguaracer and a new Seamaster. I really do like the new Aquaracer except the stupid cyclops at the 6. If they had a no date or got rid of the cyclops, I’d probably pick one up.

In my opinion,Tag heuer is good oposition for Longines hydroconquest,not for Omega.

Both fantastic, beautiful watches. I have a watch crush for Omega SMP as the most beautiful diver in the face of the earth but I have to admit the Tag is fantastic. I definitely have the black dial and bezel with that gorgeous blue seconds hand on my wish list. My favorite watch color is blue so of course that slot on my wish list belongs to the Omega SMP.

Definitely prefer the Omega shade of green, though I like the touch of yellow in the Tag second hand!

Seamaster bracelet is so thick and heavy really lets the watch down.

Hi Brad, nobody has mentioned this but the hands on the Tag are much easier to read in the dark... I like them both, but would sleep easier at night with the Tag on my bedside cabinet and an extra $2,000 in the bank... I know that the Omega is better, but the law of diminishing returns suggests that it's not $2,000 better...

I see the Tag as competition for the Longines Hydroconquest. It's just not Omega level.

These are exactly my two options about a year ago. Ended up picking the GS solely because of how the AD representative treated me. Lovin' every second with my Shubun!

The Tag is really nothing but a homage to the Seamaster.

Thanks for the great comparison Brad! I've owned a couple of wave dial Seamasters but flipped them in favour of the Planet Ocean line now. I also have the outgoing Aquaracer GMT on rubber. I think Omega missed an opportunity to do a few quality of life improvements on the Seamaster when they released the green dial version. For me at least, I would have liked a slightly bigger crown and then some refinements made to the bracelet. It's well made, but a bit old fashioned looking for my tastes. A pop of colour on this particular Seamaster would have been welcomed too, I think Tag did a great job in this respect. The Seamaster will always be a desireable watch and hold its value better, but the Aquaracer has had a host of improvements and costs significantly less. Tough call!

Man I’m not going to lie I think the Tag is nicer . Better bracelet Cosc certified so not much of a difference with movement. Way better power reserve. Nicer dial in my opinion . Thinner. Wears better. Omega has better bezel action but that’s it. Not really sure why you would choose the omega other than branding.

I really like Tag and I have tried it couple of times. I think it is a great watch in that price point but the only thing to stop me to buy it is the bracelet which feels way too cheap. It is like a bracelet from a cheap cheap Seiko watch. I can’t get over it and allow me to buy this watch although I love everything else in this watch. I’m so sorry Tag. Please fix the bracelet and I will be first one to buy this great watch.

Tag has been stepping it up a lot. They're carrera 02 is gorgeous, the new aquaracer 300 is stunning, my fav is the pepsi dial.
