I believe this was a combination of berserker, marauder and then durability runes? I've recently changed to running full berserker and infiltration, deadeye or scholar runes, depending on your preference for crit chance vs crit damage. Personally I prefer deadeye as its in the middle. You don't really need the boon duration or toughness, and the damage is significantly more oppressive, which is important on this build.

I just watched your vid and its great to see you using that build :) Remember to throw out medkit #5 into your blast gyro whenever you can, like at the start of the duels, it will give you an additional 6 might, fury, vigor, regen and swiftness (+5% damage)! Also, if you can learn to use instant targeting you will find landing nades/function gyro much easier (although it will take some practice!) Keep up the awesome work! 🤘

There was an update earlier this year that allows you to use all weapons (profession specific) on any specialisation. So, you can now use Hammer, Mace, Sword (and shortbow) on any engi spec, in addition to the Pistol, Shield and Rifle from core.

I'm not using stealth on this, but I am hiding my magnet animation by deselecting the target > channeling magnet > reselecting the target before the cast completes. If you want to stealth on engineer, you will need to use a blast/leap finisher in a smoke field, toss elixir S or sneak gyro (elite skill). You can make smoke fields using bomb kit, the new inventions trait or supply crate elite in combat. I hope this helps :)

I've been looking for a viable alternative to nades for a while and think this is it. It is certainly tons more fun. Latest setup/video leans fully into zerk without the vitality and is far more effective.. although you have to be on the ball xD Thanks for commenting 🤘

@@Qizer49 I'm debating it. I roamed this evening with toolkit instead of bulwark and then used centaur relic to make up for lost stability and celerity instead of energy sigil. It was ok, but the centaur relic CD is 20 seconds which doesn't tie up with the medkit F1 very well, plus I noticed the lack of dodges. I swapped back to bulwark and it did feel better. I think I'm going to have a rethink.

@@ProzapGW I'm thinking about the turret option (youtube deletes my comment with build link). Thumper turret (with turrets trait). More CC, good sinergy between breaks stun (Rumble) and smoke field (from trait). But it also turned out that the turrets do not trigger Bunker Down :\

Scrapper generates self-barrier based on 15% of the damage they deal.. so on high dps builds you often have max barrier during bursts. Our supports are also generating some... so it's a barrier party

To be honest I'm not a huge fan of rifle at the moment. It did have a few buffs, but also the AA was nerfed again more recently. The idea behind this build is maximising interrupts/CC, and Mace/Shield has 5 options for CC, plus a lot of sustain/block/reflect.. You could probably get away with doing a rifle version, but there are many situations where that would result in you getting eaten alive :)

There are a few guides knocking around. You need to make sure 'free camera' is checked in settings, then you will need to let go of RMB and click LMB before about face. It decouples the camera from the direction you are facing. I press LMB quickly now before about face as a habit xD Also, if you press RMB too soon after about face, it will swivel everything around again. It will just take some practice to get the timing down.

I just missed april 1st. Tbh its not bad and a lot of fun to play. I just dueled a good thief for the last half an hour and won the vast majority of the duels (maybe 80%?). I feel it has good counter-pressure/unpredictable spike damage but sometimes lacks the chase ability or ranged damage pressure that you get with nades. For roaming its decent, but you get shut down by heavy stab users. If you are looking for a build that you always want to win with, pick any number of hammer grenade builds. If you want something different where you have to work a bit harder for your win, this is a good one.
