As someone who generally has a hard time crying and refuses to if I can, this song is so sweet and showing a couple who are happy together no matter what that it’s caused me to cry more than once when listening to it.

@@Shadowkiller-dq2ju No~ That was back when I played Minecraft on the XBOX 360. They had those downloadable styles, and one matched the Fallout look well. These days, if I ever play Minecraft on my PC, it's more of an Invader Zim map~

Now thats love, they maybe facing certain death and her husband takes the time to remind his wife how complete his life is with her. Other folks in the comments are right, it's rare to see the media focus on older couples these days, like love is something reserved for the young.
^-^ I know, right? So sweet~ The most recent example I can think of, where an elderly loving couple is shown, is in the song "Love So Lovely" from the Mickey Mouse version of The Three Musketeers, where the hopeless romantic Minnie notices an older pair, and I think it's sweet. It shows that, while she's young, that's the kind of love she wants; the kind that lasts <3

It's a pity they didn't just use stock footage from _Santa Claus is Coming to Town_ (1970).
I have to wonder why we don’t see more Rankin & Bass animation nowadays... they were such a great animation making partnership, it would be a shame that their art wasn’t continued by successors...
Rankin/Bass has been defunct since 2001, and Arthur Rankin Jr. died in 2014.

:') Even though they have been married for centuries, they still love each other! <3 It's rare to see an elderly couple be like the Clauses these days in real life. Most of the ones I know have dysfunctional relationships it makes one wonder why were they together in the first place. :( *I know I'm comparing a fictional couple, but I do wish to see elderly couples in real life have a relationship strong & healthy enough that'll last long even after their days are up.

As in, no matter how long they've (the couple) been together, they don't get into fights over the smallest or dumbest reasons & still love each other.
