Good service here. Haven't been bundled up like that for a hair wash in years. Some of the barbers and shops I've been to don't cape like this. Sometime you don't even get a towel. Back In college , I walked into one of those new unisex places at the time,, turned out to be a beauty shop that changed the name. Bit awkward being 20 yrs old surrounded by old ladies in pin curls. This lady my grandmothers age like 75 said she was going to wash my hair first. She put the towel on first, very snug. , then a cloth neck guard which I thought was rather different, followed by a massive heavy plastic cape, came down to my ankles , I was 6 feet tall, then another towel around me... no towel in that neck notch in the sink, it was still comfortable. Just claustrophobic. I was never in a salon setting before and It was the first time getting my hair washed in a shop before a haircut, I remember it was a rather lengthy very firm shampooing , lots of lather, rinsing and repeat and conditioner. She must of been from the old school . I was a little antsy laying back in Chair while she washed my hair.. not a barber shop/masculine environment and wasn't used to a getting shampooed in a " beauty shop" or by a beautician . She kept telling me to keep my head all the way back. But for $7 , the cut was really good.
