I’m getting a custom made (red) yoke for my Red Tesla M3. I wanted to watch your video before to do it to see if any major issues were related to installing a yoke, but all the points you mentioned really comes down to personal preference. So, the yoke has gotta go ON for me instead 😁

A torque wrench is not meant to remove lug nuts. It is made to tighten them. Can change the calibration on the wrench (and you would never know).

Will these covers hinder the brakes from being air cooled during normal driving?

I got one referral and I bought the boost for my model 3. I love it. It’s fast. But the model 3 is faster than the Y. So it was definitely worth it.

Is v12 only for cars that have FSD? I have a 2024 MY long range awd but no self driving. Will I still be able to get it?

I'm a happy 2023 Model Y owner. AWD Extended Range Battery. I agree not worth the money. I run in Chill Mode most of the time. I'll switch out of Chill if I have the need for speed. Also think Tesla should offer it for monthly pay, maybe $10-20/mo it'd make a lot of owners happy and bet they would end up with more revenue.

I really like how I-55 follows the Mississippi River course. It is a pretty area of the country. Cool steering wheel display you have there. Looks sweet. Thx for the vid. I enjoy watching road trip videos.

Trust me, they will find lots and lots of out of warranty things wrong. It will be cheaper to trash it then repair it.

You're better off just getting the performance model. It's a bargain compared to the long range with acceration boost.

Subscriptions makes stuff a lot cheaper for one for two software upgrades in Teslas makes a lot of sense as a feature not everyone need the faster speed

I purchased the acceleration boost for my 2023 MYLR. I've ridden motorcycles my whole life so it was worth it to me. I also got it free via a unique bet with my coworkers. The bet was I would purchase the acceleration boost and put it up against every employee's car. If I defeated all of them they would all chip in and pay me back for it. I won! 😎🏎️⚡⚡⚡⚡ P.S. I orchestrated this to occur on the day of the company's annual picnic. That way if I didn't win I could get a refund within the refund window! 🤣

Does adding the boost reset your current standard mode to chill, and the current chill mode [slowest] goes away or do you get all three modes?

I do have the need for speed, hence I purchased a 2024 M3P aka 0-60 in 2.9 secs. hasta la vista baby!

Give me a zero to sixty in 7 seconds. A 120 MPH top speed, and a 400 mile range. Zero to 80% charge in 10 minutes. It's not too much to ask.

I have a 22M3LR which already significantly quicker than a MYLR. I recall the hot rod days 50 years ago, $2000 (2k then was a lot more than today) then might gain 1 tenth of second. Getting 6 tenths would have been much more. My M3 is scary fast compared to as you say almost everything on the road. Me, I won't spend the money on the acceleration boost, and I have the money. As my car is, there are limited opportunities to actually unleash it fully.

I understand why Tesla charges this much. It ups the percentage of chance that a failure of a motor component or battery component will occur. They need to cover that additional warranty cost. However, Tesla may now have numbers that show that there really aren't that many more warranty claims. If so, if I were Tesla, I would lower the cost to $300 dollars and rake in the money!! Everyone that owns a model Y LR would pay that. How many hundreds of millions of dollars would that be for Tesla?

Thx for sharing. The worst is the full subscription to FSD. when you sell the vehicle it will only be the good graces of Elon let you keep the function for your next Tesla. (If you're lucky) There is the monthly subscription for $99 but they could have made a killing by making it transferable.

I got mine for free with a referral before referral bonuses went away. Love it, but I wouldn't pay 2k for it.

I avoided a rear-ending by a pickup truck because I floored the accelerator and had instant torque with my 21 Model 3 LR with Acceleration boost enabled. I even have the dashcam video to prove it. I was approximately 6 inches from being hit. If it had been my previous ICE-V, I would have been hit.

As a new and first time MYLR owner, I do not have the acceleration boost. It is still the fastest car I have driven from a stop, that includes thirty years of driving police vehicles. Not only is the initial acceleration awesome, the acceleration is very responsive at highway speeds. The acceleration boost is tempting but I’ll stay with normal for now.

Speaking of software, I heard the other day that with a recent Tesla update, we can have multiple LightShows on a single USB drive and I got that to work just fine. Then, I read that you can partition a USB drive used for TeslaCam use and LightShow use so you don't have to open the glovebox and swap USB drives. I use a Samsung SSD T500 drive for my TeslaCam, but can't partition it for adding the LightShows. Does the T500 not allow partitioning?

I love Acceleration boost! My Model Y came with it when I purchased it. Would I have purchased it myself ? Umm that’s honestly something to think about, but I did purchase FSD for 2k.

This is inaccurate, 0-60 is 4.2 seconds and 3.7 with the boost

are you charging to 100% on each leg or 80% and if it’s 80 why not 100 since you’re on a long road trip

Nice trip and very interesting. Get some RV charging mobile ev adapters (tt-30 and regular 14-50) and you will have a lot less stress especially in the mid-west when you are off the interstate. People forget their mobile adapter opens up all those RV spots with charging available especially while you sleep overnight. TT-30 can use evse adapters that go directly into mobile adapter and not that expensive.

But does the window break if you triple tap ?

man! the number of stops you did - makes me never wanna buy a tesla/ electrics.. you only motto while driving would be looking for superchargers all the time. charging every 80 to 100 miles- how crazy can this get! What comes as a corollary is the the other compromises you have to make- like eating at crappy restaurants close to superchargers. I'm so happy with my CRV hybrid after giving Telsa a serious though.. CRV gives me a range of over 500 miles for a full tank.

Its called reflow. Softens up the clear coat and it expands and retracts as it cools covering it up. Heat it up in increments next time tho
