The qwerty keyboard was intentionally designed to slow down typing on type writers. There are some faster keyboard layouts. It would be interesting to also see those in this comparison.

The narrator speaks way too fast in this video - after watching this I was left, confused and with a headache. You need to slow down and explain and without all the writing and erasing….don’t need to know about Pitmans shorthand blah blah, just wanted to be shown how the use the keys and what they mean but you talk as fast as a bullet train… 😮

I hope you take this the right way. From one who doesn't have English as a first language, and has a hearing loss, which means I have to use headphones to hear well. It is disturbed when using music in the background, as the music drowns out speech , and distorts the spoken language. And as I said, not having English as a first language, it will be difficult to keep up. Your topic is so interesting, so it's a shame if people choose not to because of the background music. Thanks for an interesting topic.

So you're trying in "text" sort of? Like instead of saying "you are" you put in "u r"? I went to write a letter to friend in prison and I couldn't stop writing in text (yes, I know the meaning of text" which is odd because even in a text, I still use full correctly spelled words, it drives me insane when I text my husband "love you, goodnight" I get "luv u GN"

You still have to transcribe it to a format easy to search through. With an audio file there’s also times where it can be heard we to tell who is talking and when, where the text as supplement helps. Plus like the guy mentioned, it’s used to make captions for tv.
