      I just clip things and i have no relation with Connor, but i believe the goal isn't to make money. He wants to do a charity, but he also doesn't want to lose 5 digits of money. That's why sponsors are necessary. I don't really understand what he means by "losing money". Events cost money to produce. Charity events cost money to produce. When a nonprofit puts on a fundraising event, they either get enough sponsors to offset the cost, or they budget to spend x in order to raise y. It's awesome that Conner *spent* money to put on the event, but unless there was a reasonable plan in place for him to recoup his costs (via ticket sales, for example) then it's literally just the cost of doing business. There are other people who spend their own money to fundraise for a cause they support, like celebrities and socialites. And I'm pretty sure the expense is a write-off, so yeah, he just needs to reframe things. He didn't "lose" money, he "spent" money.

    • @VON_WA4
      @VON_WA4 Před měsícem

      A sponsor was gonna cover the cost of the auction, but they backed out. You can check my other clip "CDaegVA's charity auction was almost canceled". As for write-off, he still spent the money, which is tens of thousands of dollar. The sponsors that he got couldn't cover the cost of the event, hence he lost money.
