Tore my 2023 890 down to remove the plastic thermostat housing and did some detail measurements. Found that the 3 bolts that mount the housing to the engine are the same length as the machined threads in the cylinder, it appears the bolts bottom out before they are fully tight, thus allowing the thermostat gasket to leak a bit. Solution was a new thermostat because that is where the gasket is located and a washer on each bolt allowing me to tighten the housing properly sealing the gasket. Also found that the stock clamps and hoses are pretty junky and had a new leak so I had to pull it apart again and replaced with aftermarket silicon hoses and better clamps. Works great now. As to the steering head bearings, they are roller bearings like our old 1960 Schwinn bicycles so a found aftermarket tapered Timpkin bearings that solved the losing head bearings.

Je me penchais vers le c43 car mon budget ne me permet pas d’avoir le c63, mais avec ce comparatif j’ai pu voir que le c63 est beaucoup plus large que le c43, je suis déçu je pensais que c’était les mêmes

The coolant is slippery and can feel similar to mineral oil. If you want to be sure and you’re adventurous, the coolant has a very sweet taste. Seems KTM assembly torque specs on those clamps is a bit low. Annoying for sure.

Check those magnets!

Did you do the foot peg mod on your kids 390 so he can stand up comfortably on the pegs? They finally did away with the 390 duke pegs on the 24 390 adv .

Looks good. I bought the 2tracks as well just waiting for the motoz to wear down more. I'm at almost 10k on my '23 and it's still running great.

Way over priced for beginners , needs a much bigger water capacity & I am not a fan of rooftop tents for many reasons. But most people are too spoiled & soft today

Wow, Mercedes really muted the exhaust on the 63. Even the revs are a far cry from what the exhaust used to be on these cars prior to 2019 or so

Hold down one of the paddles when you start the car for much better startup growl. Mercedes calls it the "emotional" start. Tip from a fellow C63s owner.

I just got my 2023 ktm 890 adventure model s or base model I got the black and gray version I absolutely love it so far I have 195 miles stop and put my second tank of gas in it. Now the range says 120 miles? It's full and I reset the trip 1? It said range 80 miles before I filled it back up. Is something else I need to do to reset the range . I have put about 10 miles on it since I filled it up and range hasn't changed yet.

That's a fun little ride. Y'all did great. Maple Sally and Wilson Creek are nice as well to try.

I had 3 KTM few years ago and yes it has been an adventure! Anyway KTM solved all the little issues i had. Good luck, great bike I am thinking to buy the same model.

I'm going to buy the KTM but honestly, reliability is my biggest concern. I don't agree you can say these bikes are bulletproof after only few miles though. I had Japanese bikes for ten thousands of miles without changing a light bulb....

I got mine at the beginning of April and I've caught you on mileage. I agree that it has been a fantastic bike thus far. I add the Puig deflector which reduced wind noise a bunch.
