The question regarding a potential kinship between Romani Finns and Swedish Finns doesn’t make a lot of sense mainly because the Romani have a completely different ethnic, language and cultural background than Swedish speaking Finns who are native to Finland. Historically speaking the Romani are a new group of immigrants compared to Swedish speaking Finns who aren’t even considered immigrants. The Romani aren’t historically Swedish nor Finnish speakers, which is different compared to Swedish Finns whose first language is Swedish. Romani are a distinct people with their own language and cultural history. The question regarding a “kinship” doesn’t seem genuine or serious, but was rather an attempt to disqualify the research and minimize some of the negative experiences of Swedish speakers in Finland.

Except the english kicked people off their own land, then claimed it was now England. The peoples you mentioned, with the possible exception of the sami, aren't from Sweden, or any of the nordic lands.

Since frequencies like beta, thelta, delta etc affect the brain. What frequency would have effects on the region of the brain that deals with addictions?

Listen to me. I’m so sick of people that only know about addiction from text books. People wouldn’t even go down the road of drugs and secretive actions if they didn’t feel so disconnected and so I hopeful of there future as young people. And 99% of people with addictions suffered trauma that was sexual paedophilia. And no one is talking about the fact that community makes it impossible to get clean and get good jobs etc cos ur forever stopped by criminal history.

Thank you! Fascinating work and discussion. One thing that wasn’t mentioned is how traumatic experience, especially if chronic in childhood, can change the brain and how this can possibly lead to later in life addictions. How does abuse change the physiology of the brain to pre dispose? Are there similarities in brain function? Etc..Would be hard to do a study on though. Where to get a control group of traumatized kids?.. I’d think ethics would be an issue..

The second official language in Finland is Swedish still. How can a Finnish government switchboard have an operator for the Finnish Legal Aid office that cannot speak the second official language at all? Unless it is a deliberate Finnish government policy against the Finnish Swedes? Since the legal matter will be totally in Swedish how the f**k is it possible the law system is unable to properly protect the rights of an official minority group. It's already been a nightmare to get capable Swedish lawyers or service personnel. Swedish Finns are an endangered species in Finland. The day they removed Swedish as a compulsory language in the schools they announced that it is open season for Swedish Finn's rights. In Finland Gypsies, Russians, Sami, and Somali are all persecuted minorities. The English did the same in Ireland with the Irish language when they had it, and in Scotland with Gaelic.
