Right on Mando en friends. Glad to see you are Cand R. The fist lake used to have bigger Brookies. This is the last of the natives and we need to preserve the population. The middle lake s said to have a few big ones, albeit I have never fished it.

Is the the gold trout like a brown trout? because in Scotland we only have brown and rainbow trout.
No it’s a different trout native to California. Technically they evolved from rainbow trout that got separated from other fish by glaciers thousands of years ago.

Nevada, rattlesnakes kind of but we never see many at this creek and usually you hear them first

For the most part as long as they don’t dry up in the summer and the water stays the right temp
