Walrus should've consulted with a bass player before choosing these frequency ranges for the low and high mids. The low mids should go down to 200 or 250. The high mids are way too high going well into treble territory.

I imagine the Kiesel might sound beteer with the dingwalls pickups. I'd only go the Kiesel if I wanted to save a few bones and wanted to play metal.

overload and strandberg appear to sound the most convincing across various settings but what matters in the end is how you feel the instrument... your hands know the winner I guess.

Hi Nate. When you were looping that sound where you actually playing the bass while someone else was moving the setting or did you record this in a loop then you made the changes to the setting yourself? If looped I am wondering if the looper was boosting your input to get more gain in EQ mode. I don’t get anywhere chose to the saturation you are getting in EQ mode.

When a friend of mine started playing bass she took me with her to try out some basses in the store. It never ceases to amaze me how glass clear those budget Ibanez basses sound, almost as clear as my Spector. In your video I could tell you probably had the most fun playing the Ibanez and its sound suits your playing style the most I think. But can we talk about how unreal the Squier sounded when you ran it through the ADAM!?
