Bachmann NG7 Quarry Hunslet Review
Fisrtly an apology. I am NOT a professional video maker, have a poor camera and even worse sound recording equipment. So please bear with me, especially on the commentary...which is dreadful.
This is the very first review online of the recently announced NG7 range from Bachmann Europe, featuring one of the 'Quarry Hunslet' locomotive models (with sound) which are due in the shops at the end of June/early July.
As an amateur at this kinf of thing I found it almost impossible to operate the camera with one hand and control the loco with the other, whilst reading the script at the same time. So please make allowance for this - but I do hope that this video will give you some idea about the quality of this new ready-to-run range of models in NG7 from Bachmann.

The final train of the RH&DR Spring Gala weekend May 2024. No less than EIGHT steam locomotives on the train, six on the front (including 'Spitfire' guesting from the Bure Valley Railway) ...and another two on the rear!
The Meiffordd & Llangoch Full

A video of my 'Meiffordd & Llangoch' model railway layout, set in mid-Wales in the 1940's and modelled to a scale of O-16.5, that is 7mm/1foot scale narrow gauge on 16.5mm track. I was the founder' of The 7mm Narrow Gauge Association back in 1979 and the idea is to showcase a little of the scale in which we work and also to illustrate some of the benefits of using DCC (Digital Command Control),...
Ready For The Snow

In a bit of a blast from the past I unearthed this lost and long forgotten video the other day showing scenes on my old (and now long defunct) 'Piscataquis & Penobscot' layout. Number 7 emerges from the shed and turns on the table before waiting for number 4 to depart from Stillwater, heading to the mountains with the snow plow train...as the white stuff has started to come down up on the summi...

No mystery there, Nathaniel. I was the chap who actually founded the 7mm Narrow Gauge Association 45 years ago and I was presented by Bachmann with the very first prodution model to leave the factory to recognise that fact. Pictures, etc of the event in Narrow Gauge World magazine number 185.

Nice one Don. Nearly 40 years since I introduced the first "Wrightlines" Quarry Hunslet kits. Never thought I would see the day when such beautiful R-T-R commercially produced models would be available to modellers in this most attractive scale/gauge combination. Good on you Bachmann: keep the models coming.

Excellent review of the new locomotives from Bachmann, and very thorough, too. From the video it looks like the little Hunslet has really fine running qualities. The sound is wonderful. All said, I really want at least one of those. Maybe I can get some extra hours at the clinic. And Don, you did a wonderful job on the entire thing. You sell yourself short as the quality of the video and sound were both right up there with many of the creators I watch and better than a few. Also, your narration was excellent.
