In the 1st scenario for chain blocking ladd with bilzzy and bw. You said ladd will still activate as cl3. Does that mean it will lose atk/def even tho it wont negate either of the effects?

Helpful vid!! Knowing how to effectively deal with LADD is very important. It’s very similar to your draw card + compuls example, but I didn’t always know you could activate a spell speed 2 -> chain bottomless when a LADD is summoned since it’s still the summoning window. Intuitively, I used to think cards like BTH needed to be activated in direct response to a summon.

We have to keep in mind Quickdraw's miss-ruling which says it is an effect and not a inherent summon is very unlikely not ruled like this in UTW. so I recommend to go to the head judge to ask before hand.

The only one that surprised me and doesnt make sense to me is the blizzard whirlwind example. So even when ladd is "chain blocked" itll still contribute to the chain but is chain blocked and wont negate.

I know that this comment is an off topic, but have a doubt about card rulings. I was building a meme Zombie world/doomkaiser deck for playing 4fun with friends, but there is a thing that gave us to think. If i SS doomkaiser dragon, and then target an enemy zombie-type monster in their graveyard to SS, and then my opponent chain Bottomless trap hole (for example), what will happen? My assumption is that, according to the Book of moon interaction reported in format library, Doomkaiser is CL1, bootmless is CL2, so resolving Doomkaiser would be destroyed and banished, but since the requirement for the activation of Doomkaiser are met (the SS) the targeted monster would be Special summoned and won't be destroyed since there is no more doomkaiser on field that can leve it to trigger its effect and destroy the SS monster. This was told me on duelingbook, but a mate on Reddit pointed to me (explaining it) that the monster would be summon and after destroyed by DKD effect. Something I walked into is using multiple chains in the battle step after attack declaration. It’s a basic rule but it doesn’t really come up without ladd so I just never knew about it.

One minor correction though: During SJC Edison's time period, if a monster was sent to the GY by Gozen or Rivalry, it was considered "destroyed." LADD's graveyard effect would still trigger if sent to the GY by Gozen in Edison format. There were Upper Deck rulings from 2009 that confirmed this, but I believe the OCG reversed that in early 2011 (and the TCG also did soon after), so you would be correct in Tengu format, for example. It's confusing because there have been so many niche ruling changes over YGO's history Edited to clarify: Monsters sent to the GY when Rivalry/Gozen are first activated are *not* considered destroyed. It's only monsters placed face-up on the field while Rivalry/Gozen are already active that will be considered destroyed

Question regarding LaDD's third effect. If there is a Geartown facedown on the field at the time LaDD's third effect resolves and summons a monster from grave, does Geartown miss timing?

I got one: Regarding LaDD’s Destruction effect. If LaDD gets destroyed by battle, you would not be able to use the effect of royal oppression to negate it because it’s in the Damage Step.
