It must been pain to edit Sky Sports footage along with C More Sport 1 and replace the finnish commentary with Sky Sports commentary to create this video
The C More recording had superior quality but, as far as I remember, they would sometimes do Picture-in-Picture interviews so those parts were replaced with Sky footage. The audio is taken from Sky, with one small insert from F1TV. Unlike the original ITV broadcast, it includes commentary during the commercial breaks. The whole file has 35 audio tracks, in several languages. As soon as YT rolls out the multiaudio feature for everybody, I will upload the video in this format.

This was the last race in Brazil before FOM took over broadcasting the world feed for the race and you can see why, while ofc it's important to follow Raikkonen winning the title, to completely ignore Rosberg and the BMWs fighting other than a few brief replays is just crazy

Yes, it's crazy that all of this was possible as early as in 1996. Nowadays, almost 30 years later, people often pay even more to watch F1 and still don't have access to many of the capabilities that F1 Digital had. I have a lot of recordings from that area but don't really collect them anymore. There are people whose collections are way bigger.
Na so ein Hexenwerk war das nicht. Waren halt mehrere temporäre Kanäle die wärend der Rennen liefen. Auf der d-box und auch später anderen Geeigneten Geräten waren die nicht als Einzelkanäle sondern halt über dieses Menü aufrufbar. Bei anderen "fremden" digital Receivern waren die einzeln als normale Kanäle in der Senderliste. Damals als analoges Fernsehen auf Röhrenfernsehern noch dominierte war das natürlich eine Sensation.

This has to be one of the greatest broadcasts (specifically the start and advising Americans on just how this works) NOT involving Murray Walker. I was 17 when I watched this live, and I have never forgotten those seconds surrounding the start, Jenkins calling it.
Fittingly, this was Murray Walker's last race as a full-time commentator for ITV.

Wy is there no other camera angles of the crash. Eg onboard etc
It happened at a bit of a blind spot for F1Digtial trackside cameras and the only one that caught the incident was the host broadcaster's camera. As for the onboards, I believe those days only 6 onboard cameras could be active at one time, and we had Hakkinen, Schumacher, Villeneuve, Irvine, Verstappen and possibly someone else. They showed a replay of the accident from Irvine's and Verstappen's perpective later in the broadcast.
