Not sure why this popped up but glad it did. This is all accurate. I feel like I have a somewhat unique take being I'm from Detroit. No one was bumping Em. Maybe the one off song like bitch please 2 or maybe Until I collapse which was dope. But when his first album dropped... that album was straight garbage and only played by kids who had just discovered hip hop... aka suburban white kids. Those kids are now 30 and 40 and they will tell you he's the greatest but how can you be the best when, arguably, you only have 3 good albums. The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, and Music to be murdered by. I'm on record for all of his music between his 3rd and last album are garbage. Worse, they even try to mass produce his more weirder shit like without me by making D12 sound like him. I know a few of Obey's cousins and they were mad mad he was forced into that same sound. As for skill... he didn't even originate his rhyme style. Busta was doing that for years including those crazy records like Hands where my eyes can see. Just watched his old BeT Cypher then watched Em's. They both can make anything rhyme but Em says some corny shit to make it rhyme. " I just stole a kids big wheel then turned around and spit in his big kids meal" And his fans love that. That's cool but you can't say stuff like that and be better than Biggie Jay Nas Big L Busta Tupac Krs Rakim I have him top 10 but damn sure not top 5.
