You've never seen Cyanotypes like this.
Blueprints are a thing of the past, but cool art like this is absolutely not. You can use the traditional method of making blueprints to create so much cool art, and it's so easy. All you need are some chemicals, paper, and sunlight. We start fresh, not knowing the first thing about cyanotypes, to creating some really cool pieces that I'd be proud to display in only a matter of days. Help us out by hitting the subscribe button! If we can reach 10,000 subs by the end of the year, I'll personally jump for joy.

Who knew you could make mosaics this fun, and this cheap! We had most of the supplies already other than some glues and the pebbles, so that made this project a really cheap project. It did take FOREVER to sort through the pebbles though, definitely ended up being a labor of love, but we think it turned out great. Tell us what you think in the comments, and be sure to subscribe for more cool pr...

Good video but I’ll still trust Peter sellers over you 😂
The matte ones are not underfired. They are suposed to be matte and you should apply them diluted and extremely thin.
I applied according to the instructions on the jar. Some of the smaller pieces did get shiny so that's why I think it's suposed to be shiny. Will have to do more research 🤷♀️
The firing didnt reached the desired temp and the glazes didnt matured. The 2 colored ones that you say were successful, need to be applyed very thin. The others, more shiny ones, need to be applied thick. And also i reccomend you to use a gas mask with a hose and a filter that you keep on your back. And do not wash the pots with water immediatly because if you dont like the colors, you can refire again and again unless they are wet and you have to wait for them to dry a long time.
Will have to try the thinner application
Thermocouple : TM 902 plus (separate) K thermocouple, the big one with ceramic. ( 10 bucks or so total on ali, the best).
Will have to check it out 😀
Salt + broken mirror + ladder is a triple negative, so I'm pretty sure that means good luck for the rest of your days. It's just math!
🤣 makes perfect sense to me
You’re amazing!
🔥🔥
Only bad if you walk under the ladder. Maybe you’re safe.
😅
That looks really cool
Thank you! 💚
What kind of goober are you this is so out of pocket
I try my best 😉

HI, dont know if its mentioned here but you can use your fiber cutoffs to form an insulated 'button' to clamp your firewool securely without costing out for heat resistant wires. Simply bind some into a ball or rod, tie with any wire but wrap the whole lot to form a button them pull against wall to seal off from inner atmosphere and fix in place with another outside tie off system.
That's a great idea!
Raku is not food safe.
Didn't say it was.
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
It is cool
Thanks!
It ROCKS!!!
Some people don’t have the luxury of making an open fire to do Raku firing. Buy a kiln.
And some people, like us, don't have a 240v outlet that we can plug a kiln into.
Can you please explain this process please tia
Full length video is linked in the short with an affiliate link to the kiln! Basically you load up a small microwave kiln with some glass shards, leave it in the microwave for a few minutes, and pull it out once it's cooled!
very cool! thank you :)
I imagine this would be brilliant if I could hear it!! Ah sound at 2:14
OK, I have not finished the video yet, but I want to say that Raku pottery is not “fully functional.” It should not be used for things like food or drink. Functional for a candle maybe, or functional as a nice piece to look at, but Raku is not intended to be used with food.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing
Thank you! 💚
So cute ❤❤❤
Thanks!!! 💚
deserves more views, good video !
Thank you!
prefered the original artwork that came with the frame!
Remind me not to hire you as an interior designer ☠️😉
@@BrevaCreative I did not say I liked the original artwork, I just said I prefered it.
Pretty violent towards a multi purpose and medicinal plant....🙄
🤣
Outstanding Work! Great to see that New Saw working out so well for you. Consider some old cotton cloth or canvas as a backer material, it will save you a good deal of weight and works pretty well with the kinds of glue and fillers you are using. Fishtank rocks can be useful for bright colors and are cheap and easy to find too. Way to Go Breva Creative!
Thank you! 💚
I've worked with tiles and grout years ago... smaller projects! This is unique and turned out great with the various colors of the rocks!
Awesome! 💚
Beautiful!
🪨🤘
Do you use a flashback arrestor with your torch?
Not sure if there's one on that torch or not, good call. I know they're most important on acetylene torches, and less of a concern on propane, but it'd still be a good idea to grab one 👍
Awesome video!! Just watched this and your previous one about making the kiln, just wondering how long you need to fire up the kiln and does it use much propane?
The fire time depends on weather and your torch, when its hot out I've been able to hit 1800f in about 30-45 minutes but if it's cold/windy it can take 1.5hr. I usually can get several firings out of one tank of propane. I use the tank for the grill too so not sure of an accurate count, but 4 firings and a couple rounds of burgers at least 😅
@@BrevaCreative amazing!! Thanks so much for the reply 😁😁
horse hair must stink
Can't say it's pleasant! 😅
Green poplar, who knew!
A new subscriber here and since I don't know what backyard trashcan Raku is of course I want to see it :-)
🤣
Looks great!
Thanks!

I wish people would pronounce Raku properly :/
If that's the case, you'll enjoy our videos after this one because we corrected the pronunciation in those.
i know its old, but a little clay slip might be nice on it, really really watered down clay to work as a glaze
What size microwave kiln are you using , and is it heavy? Thanks
Hi! The microwave kiln is incredibly lightweight! It can fit in your hand. The one we used is roughly 6" in diameter, the one we have linked below in the description is an 8" one. We recommend the 8" because it'll give you more flexibility. Thanks for watching!
😂
As the great and terrible Soviet poet Maxim Gorky wrote, we sing a song to the madness of the brave. PS: I'm sorry, but since no one will drink from the mugs... Wouldn't it be better to sand the seams for more visual aesthetics?
Buy a kiln 😂
We actually made our own kiln in a later video 👍
Interesting table top in the background at 4:00 or so… where did you get that?
Ikea. 😉
Next up: stained glass, but make it non-Euclidean!
That could actually be really cool. 🤔
Interesting!!
Thank you!
