Good review. Apparently this game is based on and tries to replicate a tabletop roleplaying game which it seems the creators failed to explain before they let you review it. This would account for why you feel it is a jack of all trades - as that is what pen and paper roleplaying games have always been. I think you make some good points, although I would like to point out that stealth games don't have to be real time and invisible inc. is a great example of a turn based stealth game. I find the music in the game terrible. Luckily you can always turn it off and play some other cyberpunkish music. :)

You got really lucky with a nice group. I've seen death compilations with people doing SM Cath at 34 and - surprise - wiping, being too cool to mark and the tank just charging into any group. I guess it was a meeting of organized German minds. :)

Oh oh. You didn't realize you pulled an a-hole move at the end of Wailing Caverns. When you go back to the entrance, that's not the end of the dungeon run. You escort the tauren druid along the initial cliff with several packs attacking you to arrive at the final boss room. There, waves of enemies need to be taken down until the final boss spawns. Your party members probably had a WTF moment when you apparently just hearthed before all that. :)

Best thing about these kinds of games is that I can watch without it affecting my playthrough, due to our MCs being so different.

Well, that's an little bit shorter than I expected. But the good news is that the game basically keeps holding your hand for the next hour or so. After that, we'll get to see something that's mildly horrific, here and there

Syken really isn't afraid of anything. I would definitely have made a point of it to cleanse my team of all negative effects. Fear of Mutons is much too likely to come up... But here Syken is, just going in with all of those debuffs and crushing all opposition :)

Really like the content. Helped quite a lot playing my legendary play through at a similar time to your series with all your learnings as you went through. Just an observation but I can't remember seeing you use the arrows bottom right on the load out screen to check your active , passive and auto ability totals? With skills , gear , ap generation-(righteous proccing for example) . I get the feeling you can work it out quickly in your head but thought id mention it for newer players. Thanks for the content

Hey Syken 👋. I just wanted to thank you for doing these guides for Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters (Not to be confused with the original Chaos Gate from 1998, where you played as Ultramarines. It was also a competent Xcom clone. Solid game). Anyway, I pitched a fit when they launched it for PC only; another strategy gem withheld from consoles, I thought. So when it released on ps5 I had to show there's at least one strategy fan on ps5 and bought it. Long comment just to say thanks man; your guide(s) for all these games are top notch. I enjoy the content 👍.

I have a dozen or so hours in this game and already your mistakes are painful to watch, *however* I guess these videos are over a year old and I know you learned much more since then. Still, this is going better than a lot of channels. But I do wish this game had just a tiny bit more tutorial, there's quite a bit that you have to almost learn by luck. I know a lot of people complain about tutorials holding the player's hand, I think it doesn't have to be that extreme, but obviously it needs *something!!*
