What does my future in hockey look like, where will I play next season? I'll address both in this video. I did a staycation at the Hotel Vancouver, flew back to Winnipeg, quick business trip and a mother's day surprise for my mom, and an update on my Muay Thai training! :)

My chances are no goal and a goal cuz i think the other player like putted the puck inside with the stick
Iâm 55. Play lots of golf. I had lower back surgery at the beginning of March. L4, L5, S1 Laminectomy. PT and rehab has really helped. Weâve really been focusing on my hip mobility, range of motion, stretching the flexors etc. Everything affects each other. Been enjoying your Vlogs. Cheers from Seattle. I Love Vancouver. Been up there dozens of times.
Vancouver is a great place but i disagree itâs where youâll have the best quality of life. The rain really gets you down and even if you tolerate it, I find I was much happier living in Calgary where itâs sunny every day and people tend to be much nicer in places that get more sun. Not to mention the cost of living in Van being so high that really brings down your quality of life easily by needing to live in a crappy apartment or having to commute from far outside of the city for your job. I personally feel at the moment, vancouver is not worth the hype.
Are u on ig?
Honestly, the city looks depressing đ but i live in a very sunny country so i guess it's hard for me to relate. I enjoyed the glimpse to Sweden you gaveđ
the beauty of the scenery is outweighed by the ugliness of the people , places and prices
don't move to Van or lower mainland it sucks (I say this with a smirk because I lived here all my life I just want to be greedy , prefer to not have more people here lol) . yes mountains it used t o be that a person could surf or go water skying and then drive up to the mountain and snow sky in the same day here . also fire season air quality can get pretty bad you go for a walk around the block come inside and can feel the film from all the particles in the air attached to your skin. yes very expensive to live I barely live pay to paycheck and was just let go hopefully find more security work that pays good enough to pay my rent and other bills food and such. I was only driving to and from work which is about 25 km both ways4 days a week, and it cost me 200 on average for fuel. then taxes, people that come from say Alberta will get a huge shock because of the taxes yes homeless and people with drug and other substance abuse issues are rampant all over the place from van - lower mainland - into the Fraser valley and beyond , as security guard I see it everywhere, the legalization of open drug use and the drug use places also made thing much worse bring in even more homeless from other provinces given a bus ticket to leave ( its cheaper to just give them a ticket than to pay then a monthly check) to come to BC better winter climate here doesn't help much hehe
Should play for the oilers probably better than stupid skinner
when you were going over the grocery prices it didn't feel that off to canada these days to be honest. I'm in quebec city and something like 20 bucks for 5 chicken breasts feels about right. It's getting pretty expensive here.
Groceries are cheaper in Sweden compared to Canada
Hatricks
Loved the video until the Surrey propaganda... The tricities are much safer than Vancouver/Burnaby if youre not a gangster
I donât wanna get any hate because your an amazing goalie but I fell like you should close your five hole more it would make u look better and players wouldnât shoot there as often as they would if they noticed you had an open butterfly
VIU Mariners! I also went to VIU!
Nice video bro California raised but one day I'll visit bc
Oh man you're making me hungry showing all the good food. Lol
Donât listen to the haters trav keep going out there and having fun man
Love ya
When I ride this train Iâll be getting off in Jasper. My friend is gonna be waiting for me there. And then Iâll go stay with her for a little bit, and hop back on the train two weeks later to get back to Toronto⊠or fly back, whichever is cheapest
Get your trapper on that
One of the best journeys in the world for the Christmas holidays!!
It truly is! I'm doing a series on the grand railway hotels of Canada starting next month. If you liked my videos on The Canadian, you'll love them. Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for the shout out. Go Black Bears. 2024 Commisioner's Cup Champions !!
You wish you were Kelly Hrudey, Your not even Vincent Reendou đ
Trav looks like if Carey Price had Ivan Fedotovâs size. Am I right!?
As an Australian hearing you call Vancouver âwarmâ Is insane
Different standards :) I love Vancouver so much, and I'll have a 2 year recap at some point but I'm doing a series on the grand railway hotels of Canada starting next month, including the Hotel Vancouver here, you'll love them. Thanks for watching :)
Biinghamton already has 2 great goalies in Macananama and Egbert but you are more than welcome to throw your hat in and try out. We have some of the best fans in the league. Good luck.
I only played Floor Hockey .like 12 to 20 ?
Just a tip if you donât wanna get scored on when youâre on here post do RVH and have your toe over lap because itâs more secure if somebody tries to shove it in the Net đđđ
Thats the one shot i would let in brođ
Everything slows down when you are in the zone.
No way! Where in va was this? Near DC? Or towards Richmond?
Wythevilleâ
That's the type of shot that goes through my 5 hole
Pretty close to Ontario, Canada's 2024 prices. Extremely expensive to live here, sadly. (smaller cities included)
Nice video. I remember when River District was nothing and it seemed to have propped up overnight. At the moment many people there seem to own cars, but I wished that they ran more bus schedules for the area! Used to work nearby and the bus was very rare
I don't live there anymore but it's crazy to see old photos of it. I love Vancouver so much, and I'll have a 2 year recap at some point but I'm doing a series on the grand railway hotels of Canada starting next month, including the Hotel Vancouver here, you'll love them. Thanks for watching :)
I've done toronto to winnipeg in the 90's Will do it again in November!
Enjoy it! It's awesome. I'm doing a series on the grand railway hotels of Canada starting next month. If you liked my videos on The Canadian, you'll love them. Thanks for watching :)
One major reason why you donât see homeless etc in west van and north van compared to other parts is that there arenât any services there. Downtown east side believe it or not has one of the highest concentrations of government services, NGOs and charities for these people hence theyâre all around there. Itâs why everyone gets pissed off when thereâs potential news of a service or low income housing proposal in certain neighbourhoods. Itâs unfortunate that we are taking in tourist visa refugees by the plane load and not fixing Canada for Canadians
So move the services out and problem solved. I love Vancouver so much, and I'll have a 2 year recap at some point but I'm doing a series on the grand railway hotels of Canada starting next month, including the Hotel Vancouver here, you'll love them. Thanks for watching :)
Hockey is really hard to get into if you dont have 3-4k to spend. Associations should really make it more accessible for youths.
Heyy, I saw you brought a water jug, did that count as part of your luggage (did you bring it in one your bags or did they let it slide)?
Nope, you can def bring the jug! I'm doing a series on the grand railway hotels of Canada starting next month. If you liked my videos on The Canadian, you'll love them. Thanks for watching :)
Letâs go Elmira⊠I mean Hudson Valley?
Great video Trav, happy to see you still having fun with it all brother. Keep on keepin on đ€
In the words of Colin James, keep on rocking me baby
Just find a job at the rink or somethin where you can still enjoy the game....and go play some veer league and just enjoy the game while you still can before its too late
You must be new here, this is my job
iâm happy youâve been on a self improvement journey, but have you ever thought about turning to Jesus for healing and direction? He is the ultimate healer, and He is the way, the truth, and the life:) God bless trav!
Def have faith in god but hope is never the best plan. Actionables always lead the way. thank you fro the love brother!

INSTEAD OF WASTING TIME ON SOME GARBAGE 300 DOLLAR PER WEEK LEAGUE, FOCUS ON SOMETHING IN HOCKEY OPERATIONS, OR SOME OTHER AREA OF THE GAME.. HONESTLY, THE SKILL LEVEL IS JUST NOT THERE TO BE ANY KIND OF PRO... FOCUS ON SOMETHING ATTAINABLE, BEING A PLAYER IS DELUSIONAL.... AND PLAYING IN THE FED IS NOT PRO HOCKEY.. MOST OF THE PLAYERS THERE ARE FORMER D3.. OR LOW LEVEL JUNIORS.... ITS A VERY LOW LEVEL OF SKILL
No but this is my full time income and I love playing hockey, always will Walter! Love ya buddy
Playing in the FPHL is by definition pro hockey. To say it isn't simply isn't true.
@@treygray2817 FPHL IS MOSTLY D3 PLAYERS AND LOW LEVEL JR PLAYERS... CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT, ITS NOT A LEGITIMATE PRO LEAGUE..
TRAV, YOU HAVE THE LOVE OF THE GAME FEW PEOPLE HAVE... THERE IS A PLACE FOR YOU SOMEWHERE IN THIS GREAT SPORT... I TELL YOU A QUICK STORY... MY SON WAS ON A PEE WEE TEAM YEARS AGO WITH THE SON OF AN NHL PLAYER.. WE WERE STANDING BY THE GLASS, AND HE ASKED ME WHICH PLAYER WAS MY SON? HE TOLD ME, HE HAS A FUTURE. I ASKED WHICH PLAYER WAS HIS SON? HE RESPONDED, HE IS PLAYING FOR FUN, HE IS NOT VERY GOOD... HIS SON TOOK A JOB AS AN ASSISTANT COACH IN THE USHL, JUNIOR A LEAGUE, THEN A HEAD COACHING JOB, HE IS NOW DIRECTOR OF HOCKEY OPERATIONS FOR THE USHL. THE POINT IS THERE IS A PLACE FOR EVERYONE WHO REALLY LOVES THE GAME... FIND YOUR PLACE IN THE GAME TRAV... FIND YOUR PLACE.. ITS THERE, YOU JUST HAVE TO FIND IT... MAYBE IN A VIDEO ROOM, FOR A TEAM.... FIND YOUR SPOT...
I think Matthews ended a lot of goalie dreams. To be clear, this isn't a Matthews is the greatest, fanboy stuff. Goaltending was for years very much about prediction. Be in the right spot, know the play, know where to be and know when a player is going to pass and when they are going to shoot. Matthews changed all that and not because of what he can do, but because of what he taught others to do. There's a lot of players in the show you can't predict, that goes out the window. Sure prediction is still a part of the game, but now it's more important to be able to react. That's gotta be a huge shift. I would bet that a lot of guys who were really good at reaction but not as much able to predict have switched places with the prediction guys on who is looking at them and they are being looked at a lot more seriously. I could be wrong though. I'm very interested in what people who know think about that.
his change up release really did change the game. It makes life as a goalie much more difficult!
I respect the grind, Trav. Whatever happens, follow your heart and keep the faith. Also, Go Sens Go.
Thank you Stephen and all the love back at ya!
Excellent video. I happened to be born in Vancouver and I'm also "in constant gratitude and appreciation" for being able to live here.
It's a great mindset to have. I love Vancouver so much, and I'll have a 2 year recap at some point but I'm doing a series on the grand railway hotels of Canada starting next month, including the Hotel Vancouver here, you'll love them. Thanks for watching :)
@@trav4oilers I'm a great fan of the stories of the grand railway hotels and will look forward to that. I hope to visit all of them at least once and have a few checked off so far, particularly the CP hotels - I'm named after a CP ship!
