First track day at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, TX on my 1998 CBR 600 F3. I spent the session following one of the instructors on a 2015 R1. Mods include: Full exhaust, jet kit (Dynojet), tune, K&N air filter, stainless steel brake lines, EBC clutch kit, and Pirelli Supercorsa SC2 tires.

@@johnoven3668 I have no cat and a BOS exhaust, if i look inside it i can still see damping but it is pretty loud already, any tips on backfiring like what to do with throttle and killswitch etc. sometimes when rolling clutch in ful revving and releasing makes a pop

I'm about to sell my 98 f3 and your videos are changing my mind.
I have a 97 cbr f3 with same mods basically same pipe running 14 45 gearing and It pulls hard the f3 to me is a very underrated steel frame bike
It's a fun bike! Since this video was made, I've turned it into a track bike and I have a Ducati for the street. The F3 is a good (and cheap) bike to learn the craft of track riding.
I picked one up last week. Exact bike. I've owned a 99' zx7r, a 04 gsxr600 and now the 97f3. Have to say that out of the lot, it's my favorite without question. It's the most comfortable both seat and angle (practically upright unless you are giving it) and it still absolutely rips. With a simple job it can move past the 260 easily. It feels fast as all hell like the others, but it also feels like you tame it, and become part of it if that makes any sense at all. Not sure I'll ever buy a newer bike now. It's just a true joy every time I open the garage.

I feel just like you I have a 98 cbr 600 F3 and I love it just got it running again after sitting for 13 years did a lot of stuff on it myself except the carburetor job I sent it to the shop for that but spark plugs, oil, air filter, fuel filter and antifreeze change I did all myself by watching videos and glad I did saved a few bucks along with the brand new tires I just put on I love the bike now I just have to buy some new fairings for it when I get some extra money
