I own the Lion and , when I bought it, I thought I would be using the drive a lot. While the drive sounds great, it's limiting when you want to switch between clean and dirt in a song. So, I use it mostly the way you do. I'm very happy with it. Thanks for the video. now I know I'm not alone. lol.
Line6 still doesn't offer a Super Bass and this does, so it's on my list 😉
Nice ya it sounds great. If there is any downside compared to line 6 is it doesn’t have effect and stuff so you have to integrate it into a board of some sort…
🫡
Can I use it with just my phone and a mic? No PC etc?
Yes!
Hi, can you help clarify something for me on the W-H diminished? While in Cmi, can I play C diminished whole half starting from the root? Now when I play the half whole diminished, is it also from the C root?
Yes both will work over a Cm chord but give different extensions or “outside” sounds. Best thing to do is to write out the notes of each scale and see how they contrast against the chord.. hope that helps!
@@JefferyJMarshall, I asked cuz C half whole diminished scale have the Cmin triad notes, C, Eb & G, as well as other minor scale notes but also have the outside diminished notes. But, a C harmonic minor scale also works in C min key with the #7, so a C whole half diminished scale fits into that space, that's why it's confusing to me. I've tried to play both and they both seemed to fit but one of my educated musician friends suggested starting it a ½ step down from the root and play half whole, which confused me cuz wouldn't it be the same as starting at root and going whole half?🤔
@@harryyoung3247yes basically a different way of saying the same thing… happens a lot in music as people can see the same thing from different angles.
Your "not conquered it" (sidestepping) is still way smoother than my attempts. Great video and killer playing! Thanks
Ha thanx! Baby steps I reckon lol
Great demo and a fitting Surname:)
There's no way you can actually know who's buying your products nor can you know what their about to do, even if you did a backround check on every single person you sold mech to which I don't even think would be legal, but supposedly the guy had no record so I've heard.
Dean Norris plays guitar too?
Really love your video, sir but I think I’ll go with the irig 2 to I have my own country radio show as an on-air personality DJ the reason why I won’t go with the pro is because I can’t be doing my show in the next thing and run out of batteries but all in all, sir. Thank you for your video again from one DJ to the next I will subscribe, sir. Thank you.
Much appreciated. Ya I just got hip to these gizmos. Handy critters for content creation for sure!
Great playing, inspiring ideas!
Much appreciated!
Sounds Beautiful... So many nuances when it's not drowned in too much gain, which you've captured IMO Great overview... I just ordered one and should gig it right away
Awesome! Let me know how you dig it!
Sounds great! But that’s Texas Flood
Thanx! Indeed! The title is just describing the gear I was playing through…
@@JefferyJMarshall oh!!! I see my bad, I thought you meant you were playing Honey Bee with clean drive ah makes sense now
I like it
Love the legendary hat and the man smoking the tele. 🤘
You smoked the tele. 😅Reminds me of all the cool lunch time licks you used to post. That C#min Funk track is still my fav.
🤘😎🤘
Smooth. Definitely going to try this. Any backing track you suggest to practice this application?
Ya type in Cm - G7 backing tracking. It goes back and forth every two measures. I’ve spent a lot of time on that one!
Miss your lessons Sensei. It was an honor to have you as my private instructor for a year at Musicians Institute. Been loving your YT shorts and all the fresh ideas. Thank you for everything
Great to hear from you Sid! Hope you’re stilling rippin those strings!!
@@JefferyJMarshall Yes sir. Playing everyday. Released our 3rd album in March. Will be heading out for a short tour in July.
Send me a link! Wanna hear it! Keep it up mate!!
Cool concept, I'll have to mess around with this one! 🎸❤🤟
Just ordered the mini blue pedal, hope it sounds this good 😊
Great pedal! The blue channel on the XTC is the bomb!
Hi Jeff, I'm glad I was introduced to your channel. I'd like to purchase the backing track? Do you give any indepth lessons on your backing tracks, like showing the chord voicings, strumming rhythms, complete solo, more soloing concepts, lessons, etc.? Is the backing track you used in this video on your patreon page? You have a simplistic tasty bite size wonderful way of teaching that I can grasp onto and get a lot of fresh ideas from. But I'm also looking for a much deeper dive with this video lesson, and backing track. I sincerely wish you continued success with your channel. Because I can tell you truly have a gold mine of knowledge to share, Thank you.
Hi Ray, thanx so much! This particular backing track is just something I found on CZcams and it’s been a while so I’m not exactly sure which one. I do have the tab pdf on my Patreon site. There is a free trial if you’d like to check that out so no pressure but you will see there is a LOT of lessons on there. Many more than my CZcams channel. Hope that helps! 👍

35 watt I had was the noisiest amp I ever owned
Interesting. Was it the fx loop? I’ve heard people talking about that before. I personally didn’t have any issue but I’ve seen others mention it
@@JefferyJMarshall The Loop was noisy the red channel was just terribly noisy... I returned it

CZcams, middle aged geezer, Les Paul, pentatonic minor

@@JefferyJMarshall break out of the box brother
essentially just mix harmonic minor with penatonic works beautifully
Ya sorta 👍
Oooh, that sounds sooo smooth. Great vid, mate
I’m gonna keep saying this until everyone gets it right. “The key of B” means B major. This is in the key of D, OR it’s in the key of B min. The same way mathematicians assume a number is positive unless otherwise stated, musicians assume the stated key is major.
He already said it's in the minor pentatonic scale.
@@andyfasulo5694 you’re right, but this is the minor pentatonic scale in the key of D/Bmin.
Reminds me of a solo that would fit into Hotel California.
Thanks Jeff! I always get something from all your lessons 👍👍👍
👍👍👍
gives weezer vibes
Thank you for showing this. Really cool!
Sounds like you can play what you hear. But not make the sound for the life of you. Or you would be him
Yes..yess..& yesss… I appreciate what you’re doing here..👍🏾👍🏾
Too much talking
Hey! Does the clean channel stay super clean at gig volume?
It can depends on how you set it. It does have a gain and master volume so it is possible to get some light breakup but with the added headroom it is cleaner imo
Cheers! I ordered one, much based on your demo!
Awesome! Let me know how you get along with it. I’m sure you will be very happy!
Outside side step is only obvious when your playing and thinking about it, once I started listening to myself later, I realized its not as obvious. Your brain just syncs with your hand
Interesting! Something o need work on for sure
@@JefferyJMarshall no man you did it good
cool stuff. I've been looking for ways to play outside tensions.
Pat was the GOAT back in my early years playing guitar in the late 70s. Seeing him playing Makin' Magic on The Old Grey Whistle Test was a life changing moment foe me. Thanks for posting this up, you've really nailed his technique.
Oh and please show as many cheater cords as you can come up with 😊😊
