I saw someone Deaf who used another sign for pet peeve. She used the sign for "sick". She used her right hand in the open 8 hand shape and tapped it on her forehead. She did not use her left hand in the same handshape to put lower on the stomach. Look at the video for the open 8 handshape

I forgot to talk about checking your glucose. What do you think the sign for that would be? ..... It's pretending to hold something in your right hand and then pretend to prick one of the fingers on your left hand. You can even go through the pantomime of squeezing blood onto a strip and then putting the strip into glucometer. That's how you would sign checking your glucose.
