I walk backwards on high incline for 5 minutes before i start my jog. Not to build muscle, but in an attempt build stability in my right knee, thats a lil bit dodgy 😂

Yeah. It's really good for knee stability and rehabilitation. It might look a bit funny sure but it helps a lot of ppl with pain and you should mind your own business in the gym

😂 Let’s ignore the fact she’s dressed like she got her leggings stuck in the car door And discuss walking backwards on the treadmill as a way to train your quads. One of the primary benefits of backward walking is for balance training, including the ability to shift directions and maintain balance, which is essential in fall reduction. Walking backwards throws off your centre of gravity a bit, requiring you to develop more stability, Physical therapists routinely use backwards walking as a rehabilitation tool, particularly for people with neurological issues stemming from a stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or another condition. Reverse walking may also help with knee issues, with research showing that people with knee osteoarthritis had better knee strength, less pain, and overall better function after walking backwards. So, all good things. But this creator claims she does them to train her quads and hamstrings…. And is not old or recovering from a serious condition that requires rehab. Now, it’s become a bit of a wasted effort. From a strength and growth perspective, this will do little to shape, build or tone your legs. Nothing will replace weight training. If you want better quads and hamstrings, then you want to be doing exercises like Squats and RDLs. Not walking backwards on a treadmill. And certainly not in a pair of leggings you decided too late that you didn’t want to cut into shorts.

I feel like you get a lot of your information from watching TokTok 😅. Plant proteins literally build the food chain 🤣 they are great quality, you just need to cover any amino acid gaps. And you don’t need 4x as much, maybe 20-30g more a day than a meat eater.

You wouldn’t eat all of it in a day 😅, but it’s harder for salad munchers to get it all in. It’s a lot of eating you don’t supplement but it’s the choice they’ve made
