Yes this is such a good song! From what I´ve seen it seemed to go missing from CZcams at some point. My mission is to help out the Internet so that there is a complete as possible Syntax-collection on here. So when stuff goes missing I reupload. 🙂. I would have loved to add the Raise Alarms-demo Jan uploaded on his Soundcloud a couple of years ago.. but that feels kinda iffy since i suppose he didn´t share it on CZcams for a reason probably. Or maybe it was just to avoid "that" guy, but still won´t do it until I know he´s ok with it. "That" guy actually subscribes to my channel by the way. It would be fantastic if it´s true that the nonsens is over so you in the U.S can enjoy the music too.. and maybe soon start to use the bandname again even. Such a sad unnecessary thing this. @@matsnordstrom5987 He subscribes to mine as well! I hear you about Jan's unreleased stuff. He actually asked me to hold off on the really rare stuff a couple of years ago, so I think you're right. We could use Thorns & Roses though. The original is not up for US listeners still. Miss that one. My Syntax playlist shows you what's up in the US. It's mostly there. It's been a silly saga, but maybe it really is finally over? Nothing in recent months at all. Fingers crossed. Take care ♥

@matsnordstrom5987 P.S. It's actually been more like a year since I saw a Syntax song taken down. I got some weird "community guidelines strike" from him 2 years ago. That meant he went after my entire channel! It was a minor thing, though. He can have stuff removed, but you never get an official strike. It just gets taken down. I uploaded the whole lot 7 times!! He fired back 7 times. But that was 2-3 years ago during COVID. Take care.

@@matsnordstrom5987 I tested the waters by using the bandname on my US Syntax playlist. We'll see. I think it's safe uploading outside of this cursed country. I do know that he can't shut down a channel or give anyone a proper strike because it's just a band name copyright issue. It just got old having them taken down. Jesus. He must have taken down up to 100 of my uploads. Even Jan gave up over here. That's why he leaves YT alone (I'm guessing). He's also singing away & doing okay. He spent a couple of years dealing with the guy. Can't blame him for moving on. Still, we all just try to keep the songs alive & cooking. It's just a shame there weren't more albums. The album got really good reviews, but somehow failed to sell well enough. That's what made a 2nd album next to impossible at the time. They split up in 2004 (although I didn't know that was official). Take care. Sorry about the blabbing, but there aren't many others out there to share your Syntax thoughts with!

@@steelyman08 Yes it is safe uploading with the correct band-name outside of the U.S. I haven´t had any problems at all and the majority of the stuff I link to on my playlist have been around on CZcams for many years. But I suppose maybe it´s been geoblocked in the U.S. then? It´s crazy that he just wouldn´t relent and kept going after your uploads. I checked his FB-page yesterday and now it seems like he is just trolling there with weird posts. And also yes I totally understand Jan being fed up with the whole situation in the end. A couple of years ago I had a brief conversation with him in the comments somewhere and then he was a little bit optimistic about the potential for going back into the studio with Mike again. But seems nothing came of that. Yes the album even got a 10/10 from an electronic music magazine here in Sweden - and they almost never gave anything 10/10. That´s why i bought it straight away. If I remember correctly the label it was released on was shut down shortly thereafter and the album got very little promotion. It´s a shame, and also sad that the attempt in the 2010s didn´t quite go as planned either with the Tripolar-eps. But yes the songs that are there will live on. If no one else, we´ll see to that. Also, no worries I think it´s super fun talking about Syntax. 🙂

Jag beställde det av bandet när det begav sig. Jag gick igenom min skivsamling häromdagen och då dök den upp igen. Jag minns inte riktigt var jag hittade bandet från början dock. Men jag gissar på Helgon och sen Myspace kanske. Riktigt fin liten skiva med grymma låtar tycker jag fortfarande! 🙂

@@pettergee2029 Det slog mig först lite senare igår kväll att du kanske är Petter från bandet rent av. :-) Jag skrev ett litet meddelande på Messenger till dig i samband med att jag laddade upp. Eller jag tror att det var "rätt" du i alla fall. Jag hittade inte fler med samma namn. Tänkte att det ju kan vara artigt att fråga om det var ok att jag laddade upp. Även om jag var rätt säker på att du/ni inte skulle ha något emot det. Men meddelandet gömde sig nog i Facebooks vrå för oönskade kontaktförsök. Anledningen till att jag laddade upp var just att jag hittade så himla lite av er musik på CZcams. Härligt att albumet är uppe nu också! Det är också grymt bra. Jag minns det som att det har funnits på Spotify under en period, och det vore ju kanon om det kommer tillbaka där också.

@@steelyman08 Ha yes maybe we are. Meccano Mind is soon 20 years old I realized the other day. But still good music doesn´t age and I still think it´s a shame their music haven´t gotten the attention it deserves.

I found this in a random folder on my old laptop and noticed it was missing on CZcams. I´ll do some more digging down "computer-memory-lane" and see if I rescued more tracks. Do you remember the titles of the other demos that where on the old site?

@@DavidLeo I noticed just now that a new "Syntax UK" - channel has been created just the other day and from the description it seems to be with the blessing of the band members. It seems like more rarities might show up there. :-)
