I have experimented with my own versions of 'Espresso Martini's': Spiced Coffee: 1 part Coffee, 1 part Vanilla Vodka & 1 part Fireball Nuts to This!: 1 part Coffee, 1 part Amaretto & 1 part Hazelnut Rum or Hazelnut Vodka Spiked Cream: 1 part Coffee, 2 parts Baileys, 1 part Fireball Nuts 'n' Cream: 1 part Coffee, 2 parts Baileys, 1 part Amaretto

I use a finely ground espresso powder with kahlua and vodka and it makes the best foam when shaken over ice!

As a bartender - I agree vanilla vodka espresso martinis are superior. I would personally recommend a bit of baileys and using real espresso for the sake of foam but hey your way works just fine

I don’t think you need top shelf spirits when making mixed drinks, especially something like espresso martinis. You only need to be concerned about the quality of the spirits used when it’s a main flavor in a cocktail or when it being drunk neat.

IMO (bartender) the best espresso martini takes plain vodka, kahlua and coffee - i find the kahlua sweet enough i never add SS to my espresso martinis. but to each their own! I love the idea of adding some sea salt. Sounds yummy.
