Thanks for the update, Guy
You bet
Thank you for the compliment and droping by to watch.
Crap missed another live stream looking forward to your proof of concept and you sir are a true artist when it comes to making landing gear take care
Awesome work Dan!
Thanks!
Cool brazing jig. You always have clever solutions!
That jig was my way of brazing the horn after it was bent to an exact angle. It worked well for me. Thanks for watching and I'm looking forward to your craftsmanship.
I use there stuff too for over 45 years. Erie, Mi.
Thanks for watching. Which products do you use and what type of parts do you make? Eventually I will get around to putting a jog at my seams as you mentioned.
I did a little research and found some of your great stuff. I didn't make the connection at first.
@@WinshipModels nice talk we had
I use Johnson paste wax for over 45 years and green PVA
I heard that the Johnson paste wax has been discontinued. Are there any substitutes?

Very nice ❤
Nice work
It is the one thing I do where I hang out and talk with people of different political views, which we never talk about. So, I guess, that is a good thing.
Tres beau reportage photo ou il y'a des grands du vcc US et des avions de légende..... is good
❤
Great stuff
After all that, not even a video... or is this the trailer??
Just a slide show. Getting a camera body that takes vidoes with the same lenses for this summers action. Thanks for watching though. Advice taken and agree.
This is a video platform not a photo site
Ok. I will give you your refund. Thanks for trudging through. Believe it or not I don't have a video camera yet that will take vidoes with the lenses I have. I'm planing on acquiring a camera this summer that will shoot video with a 500 f4 lens. These slide shows were posted as a learning experiance. Thank you for your feedback....well taken.
I truly remember this self affliction!!!! Round and round screwing yourself into the dirt and getting high on the fumes.. And doing it over and over!!! It was never fun. It was all about just being somehow successful for more than 5 revolutions.
Very cool
Beautiful aircraft! Wish I could build one half as nice. The craftsmanship really shows!

Awesome!
Outstanding.
I see you're upping your a game. What a great video! Take care
Video has been invented since this I guess.
Believe it or not I don't have any video of completed models flying or at the field. I will be getting a good used canon 80d that will solve the problem. I agree it needs video clips.
No, it's literally just a hobby - no need to sensationalize it.
You might be missing the point. The airplanes are the hobby but the people and friendships are not.
Love this!!!!
The friendships are great. It's the elitism practiced by the clubs which is the problem.
I have been fortunate to have many people in my life that have helped me in modeling and in general. I wouldn't have even come close to being where I'm at now were it not for their help. Believe me I'm not close to being elite. Life is good.
What biplane is this?
Hello Bruce. I'm not sure. These pics were taken many years ago. The builders last name was Condon I believe. Hopefully someone will chime in with the answer. I put these slideshows together to try out some editing software.
I had a control line plane in the late 90’s it was powered by a Russian diesel, unfortunately a former state champion wanted to show his skills and crashed it into the runway totaling the plane and motor.
Spelling correction in the slideshow should read....unparalleled. I guess I movie doesn't have spell check.
Pretty cool process of making landing gear. I like that. Take care. Sorry I missed the live
Thanks 👍
I was thinking about avatar!
Give me a call and I can talk you into doing a wet lap seam
You are correct on that seam. The wheel pant is the perfect part for this seam. Maybe a future video. Thanks for watching.
That's awesome Dan .
Very cool Dan!
Pretty cool jig. I like its repeatable also well made. Take care
It is repeatable. I have a design in my head for a wire bender where the post is adjustable for different width horns. Maybe a future video.
I had the horn on top of the pins. It should be between them when bending. My mistake for filming with one hand and trying to demonstrate the bender with the other. Thanks for watching.
Resin is Resin Services HTR 250 with HT-106-3 curing agent. Steel mandrel with Freekote 700-NC. Hoping for enough expansion of the mandrel to allow for release on cool down.
I use paraffin wax to fill in the gap
Parifin wax works well also. I was experimenting with a permanent solution that would hold the plug at center. I have also used clay with sucess.
YUM
Now to drill line up dimples in the flange then wax and pva and make the other half . Nice work
The indexing dimples or molded in keys will be used on the fuse mold. They are a game changer. Thank you for watching.
Call at Matney Models I have used resin service for over 40 years
were can I buy some? Matney Models
I bought these at a swap meet but I have purchased others on amazon without the carbide inserts that are ok.
Thank you so very much
Thank you for watching.
Get your microphone fixed. We can't hear a word you say.
Thank you for the feedback. There wasn't anything said in this short video.
@@WinshipModels Hi, Yes, I realised that. I'm afraid I was in a bit of a mood and had a bit of a dig. One of my pet hates is videos where presenters don't say anything but point at things and maybe waggle their finger to say, "Not like this." You wouldn't get a tv presenter being silent throughout a programme! If you want to present a decent video, then present properly! It was the first of your videos I'd seen and I wrongly assumed you were one of those non-speaking types. I've since realised that you do speak -but just not in this case - so my apologies for my little dig. I do have several pet hates, including "presenters" who don't consider what they are about to say and consequently ramble aimlessly, those who mumble incoherently, don't finish sentences, change subject at random and those who wander off for long periods to get items that they haven't prepared in advance - I know this is "only CZcams" but the standard of presentation can be appalling and rc modellers are often bad in this respect. Oh yeah... what about flying videos where the model flies off to become invisible so you're left watching a blank cloudscape with an engine buzzing away somewhere in the distance... It's almost as pointless and tedious as watching golf or, as I call it, televised sky! Ok, I'd better stop before I get complaints about people who rant because they are never happy! 😁 Maybe I should do better myself...
@@MrAirhead2010 Well said. I agree with you and the points you make are spot on. I have a good friend that points these items out on my vidoes.
Thank you for watching.
Thanks!
well done...
Wow, very good. What material did you make the ribs from?
The coring templates are made from phenolic purchased from MSC industrial supply. Formica countertop material can also be used with good results. Thank you for watching.
I decided to go with Sparky suggestion on using ball bearing drawer slides for the sled. I made a short video that shows the update.
I nominate you to the Guinness book of records for the most organized Man alive !!
Some things are organized but there is alot of caos around here. I try to keep the important work stuff organized. Thank you for watching.
