Saltwater Fishing TV - Inshore/offshore saltwater fishing for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Fluke/Flounder, Tuna, Sharks, Blackfish, Weakfish, Marlin, Porgies, and all other regional species. Visit neangling.com for news, tips, product reviews, detailed tackle recommendations (all species), fishing reports and much more!
In early 2003 Capt Andy LoCascio, Capt Rich Tenreiro and producer Scott Braun joined forces to create a fishing show that they would actually want to watch. There were plenty of fishing shows on cable, but none of them focused on the Northeast and even remotely bothered to share with the viewers where to find and how to catch the regional species. Northeast Angling focuses on finding the best destinations and the right captains to get on the hottest bites. This includes all of the inshore and offshore species in the region along with an added focus on international fishing for the traveling angler.

Winter founder fishing at its best.
they look anchored up and most likely chummin clams
9 years ago, yes. Now, no.
Still the BEST video on fluke fishing in the Shinnecock from a boat! Thanks for this great video!
No crab on the jigs?
4 guys on the boat. Let someone else gaf the fish
How long was the fight?
Just about 15 minutes
Glen Cove? Where in Glen Cove? Back when I was a kid in the 70s, WE used to rarely get lucky at Sore Thumb in May. My father's friend had a LIBBA permit and we gladly went with him. Lost a lot of Salty Dog Shrimp in the rocks! GOOD EATS! Can't buy them anywhere now!
Matinecock Point
Not on Martha’s Vineyard...several miles away...very small fish...no doormats there...not the way we fish here.
Vocês empurraram esses peixes para portugal terra do cristiano Ronaldo temos muito disso por cá como é que vocês cozinham esse peixe
I watched neangling back in the day when it was on TV and this is one of the episodes that always stood out in my mind. Crazy now to rewatch and see what the early stages of jig and pop tuna fishing off RI were, Rich couldn't have been more right when he said "this is going to revolutionize fishing".
It was one of the many things he was right about! Still a brilliant and talented fisherman. Certainly one of the best inshore fishermen ever. Capt Andy
Very nice my friend
we dont use belts out west, just the rail and the rod against 300 pounders. Gun vs bow
Nice video but you guys yak too much.......be well.
Welcome to Douchebagville
New sub, love the channel!
Used to catch lemon sole aka winter flounder off the same spot on bank mussels up to 4 pounds great eating
Wish the flounder would make a comeback. I do not see that for the near future.
Any charters?
We are doing charters at this time. but only in the Western NY Long Island Sound
No offense but I wouldn’t have RayMarine again if you gave it to me. My last boat came with it. Least intuitive system that I have ever seen…..and I fly an Airbus for a living. Talk about a crappy system, designed in the 80’s, and still better than this junk.
Sadly, I have heard/experienced some of the same issues with the newer models
can u put circle hhooks on te jig, and would that be effective ??
That is a good question...I suspect it would not work. Either way, we never end up hooking these fish deeply on either jigs or just J hooks
Did they eat it???
Yes we did. It was excellent. However, I no longer target these fish
The Captian’s Italian like me.
You are correct..Capt Andy is 100% Siciliano
"SLOB ON THE DECK"!!!! LOL! I live in cape may, and this fishery Is still as strong as it was in this video! My personal best is 72.2 lbs... Massive! I miss your videos Capt!!
I do not personal know how good this fishery still is. I suspect it is still as good as it ever was
Awesome video! Thanks so much for sharing this!
Nice job on the hook
Warning, a misaligned roller trailer will punch a hole in an aluminum boat
yo...more commercials..:)
The good old days
Wow, that's impressive! can't imagine being able to do this on a grander.
I've caught some monster fluke in Raritan Bay 10 and an 11 back to back on gulp and fluke strip!
Dear friend, how is it better than Yo-zuri Yo-Zuri Mag Popper 150? What hook number does she have, does she have a double casting system?
nice net
Thank you for this! Here’s a little something for you: czcams.com/video/ucIal54_VLw/video.html
yea i'm going to trust a guy waring white boots - seriously!
Easier to find my floating body should I drown...however, I now wear camo...go figure
Was gulp relatively new at the time? Surprising to see a fluke video without that product.
it as very new
Can't beat roller trailers. Don't know why they aren't more popular.
Bunk trailers are less expensive
So sad….
I am a different fisherman now. It has been a very long time since I killed a shark.
You guys had some day catching those nice fish and yous also had ALOT OF FUN which imo is very important, i used to fish alot as a kid and even into my mid 30,s then i got married and my friends i used to fish with got married and that was that.i tried setting up trips with my old fishing buddies but the day before id always get that call saying they kids sick or the wifes sick and they cant go, i went myself once or twice but it wasnt the same.i used to fish out of SANDY HOOK/ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS on the JERSEY SHORE,my dad started me out in ponds at a very young age, then when i was like 9 or 10 he brought me to the RARITAN BAY and alittle after that he brought me on a PARTY BOAT. The night before me and my dad went fishing id get so excited i could barely sleep, id stay up reading my piles of THE FISHERMAN magazine and it was like christmas eve to me.great times back in the 70,s fishing with my dad and when hed say those dreaded words(ya wanna call it a day) it was like i was heartbroken and crushed.im 56 now and before i croak id like to fish again and feel that great excitement of having a fish on the line
Before I say this, I have to say that I am a shark and big game fisherman myself ... its an absolute sin that you killed something as magnificent as that Thresher and all so you could possibly get a record. Shame on you and its your generation that has ruined many of a big fish for our future generation to see. I am by far a tree hugger but that's ridiculous 🤬
Paul, I appreciate and completely share your passion about these fix. Please take a few moments and read through the comment thread for this video. Capt Andy LoCascio
@@neangling fair enough but I would still not kill a fish even to weigh it in for a record. Thanks for the reply
WTF how can this be about a black magic fighting belt when its clearly about fishing ? Not that i dont like fishing as i do but this video title makes no sense.
It shows the belt in use. We are huge fans of this entire system!
@@neangling Well nothing wrong with that as i like fishing but mostly do fresh water fishing however the use of the word "fighting to describe realing in a large fish makes it sound like a UFC event.I was actually looking for a video on how to use a chinese stainless fighting belt for martial arts when your fishing video popped up see.
It makes me sad to see it caught, just because I have a lot of respect for sharks, and threshers are slowly becoming more rare. It was a good catch though, and I saw your comments about how you release most stuff now, which makes me happy!
You’d find it much easier if you used the black magic as designed..... it’s a bum harness not a waist harness......
Well, you are critiquing one if the finest female anglers in the world on her use of the belt. She probably has more black marlin on stand-up than all other female anglers combined. This belt can actually be used either way. The bum strap can lay right on top of the pad and it makes a great back belt. This is actually the only way it can be used on certain setups. If you browse through and locate our giant bluefin tuna videos, you can see it used on the bum (she also uses it at least one of those). I think it is the most versatile and effective belt and plate combo ever made.
You are nuts going to George’s in a skiff especially with passengers can’t believe you could carry enough fuel to get out and back man the weather can go to hell a lot faster than you could get out of there
We carefully chose our weather window and that boat fished and transited in 6-8ft seas many times. it is not necessarily about the boat, it is mostly about the reasonable operation of the boat. Shackleton's boat was the exact same length and not nearly as seaworthy and he saw seas that were much larger. Also, please note that there is another boat filming this.
How deep is the water?
The best spots in this area ranger from 25 to 35 feet. This also corresponds to the depths with the most structure and life
Era muito mais bonito que o soltassem ... Muito mau
Amazing look at that bastard stay buried in the rock
Let the Capt talk guys.
That chick is hot
I enjoy watching you guys keep making videos love them
