I played this game in it's original day. Never got far, didn't give it the chance. Don't think it was horrible however.

The miiverse is gone but I'm genuinely glad my picture of "Hey kids, wanna die?" is archived all these years later.

Bought this back when it originally came out. They laugh and they joke, but I really enjoyed the game for it's time. The shooting segments are dated, but the story and acting was generally on point. It was dark, you had real choices and your actions would have consequences. There were moral issues presented. The beginning 'training' (obv tutorial) was slow. You had to get by that to get into the real juice of the game.
