Mr. Dean, It is with sadness and disappointment I write you today. Your operation at Murrieta Hot Springs is an unmitigated disaster. With high hopes I went in March to secure Mother's Day reservations for a day pass and 4 massages. We were double charged, no receipt tendered because there was no printer. I was told there was no one who could help with this. I picked up a business card in the pool lobby and low and behold Angela picked up. She was there, the attendants at the pool lobby just snickered. Angela was understanding, convinced me all would be fine, no worries about Mother's day, and she followed up with an email that my charges were corrected. Yesterday. Mother's Day, we arrive at noon. Our spa treatments are at 3:30. With my 83 year old mother along. We are greeted with a long line in the hot sun. No shade, no water, no accommodation for mom. Line isn't moving. I make my way to the front only to be told it doesn't matter if we'd already paid...back to the line. We send mom with my sister to the "restaurant " to get a beverage and wait while I stay in line. 20 minutes later I'm told we can continue to wait but there are no more chairs at the pool and no more room. My husband dropped us off. Now we are stuck. There are 4 of us. We reconvene at the restaurant and feeling grateful for a table. Service was awful. Food was good, but clearing my own table, having to go to the counter for water refills, wiping our mouths with donut shop napkins which I also had to get up and find, on a $200 check, is absurd. It is now 2pm. One of your associates, Jamie comes into the restaurant to quell the discontent of a few other parties. She was kind enough to allow me to pull her aside and explain the situation. She encourages us to stay for our treatments and takes our credit card to check us in. We are feeling like maybe we can salvage something here. Alas we were directed to the "spa". My mother was asked to climb what seemed like 100 stairs. At the top we find that we have to change in the toilet. No shower. No amenities. And they are giving treatments on cots in areas with only a screen, no room. Incredulous. We left. My mother's 83rd Mother's Day was ruined. Our group is a collection of thoughtful educated people, including a Lawyer, a PhD, an MBA...I mention only to convey that we are not prone to hyperbole. As a former Director of Customer Experience for a national multi billion dollar company it is unfathomable that no one in your organization with just a teaspoon of project planning skills could not identify the fix for the recurring issues identified on Yelp. This speaks to a lack of attention to this property by the executive team. I will never return to this property and that is unfortunate. We had high hopes. My hope now is my mom lives to see another Mother's Day. Please put a lens on this location and deliver the experience promised for the next hopeful guest. We will be doing our collective best to warn future guests about our unfortunate and inexcusably wasted time at Murrieta Hot Springs on Mother's Day 2024. Good Luck.

It's being scheduled now for 12am-1am tonight. I'm sure all will go as planned (20min brain surgery#14 with anesthesia time added total surgery time should be around an hour) if no complications arise from the surgery I should be able to get out of the hospital within one or two days. Obviously if there's complications I could be here for up to a month or longer but I don't think that'll be the case It should be a quick and easy smooth surgery simple only in the head nothing in the abdomen. 🤞 He's going to try to do the surgery without placing a drain in my head which will lessen the complication factor of infection or meningitis. Today's Hospital Update (SHORT VERSION, BUT STILL A Multi-volume NOVEL LENGTH UPDATE): Today (8-23-23), I started off with hope and it seemed to be going well, until it became apparent to me that my day nurse Liza (pronounced Lisa) was lying to me about what orders were on my medical record, along with other info that was supposedly documented in my medical record, but wasn't; which ended up being totally FALSIFIED and made up by her to CYA herself and her incompetent actions. After I brought the mis-documentation / falsifying medical records and lack of nursing advocacy towards her patient issues up with my nurse Liza and told the charge nurse about all the details, the care received from Liza went to shit 💩 FAST. Shocking I know, SMH. I won't bore you with all the complete details, but I will say my concern started when I noticed somehow **INSULIN** was written on my lunch food receipt; when I do not use Insulin, never have used insulin and I don't have any condition or treatments going on that require the use of Insulin even on an as needed basis either. I just had the most invasive 5hour+ brain surgery (#13) and 2+ minute uncontrollable seizure in recovery caused from surgery complications on August 1st (the worst, most invasive surgery I've had to-date), which ended up with me needing to return to the hospital on August 18th after I was not improving and degrading fast causing me enough worry to talk with Neurosurgery, and them telling me to immediately go to the ER my shunt isn't working! Only to find out upon arrival at the ER that my decompensation was due to a major subdural brain bleed and hematoma (6.1cm x 1.4cm) that to this day is still apparently bleeding and has shown no decrease in size as of today August 23rd, 2023; still actively bleeding with no clear sense of a proper resolution other than (1) wait n see, (2) doing another invasive procedure, placing a catheter through my groin going all the way up to my maxillary artery that supplies blood to the top of the brain to be clotted to stop the subdural hematoma membrane from continually leaking blood and cerebral spinal fluid into my brain, or option number (3) (even more invasive option) remove my newly placed shunt and shunt catheter, then going through the newly created bore hole in my skull to remove the subdural hematoma, only to place the shunt catheter + shunt again and restart the whole healing post surgical process over again from scratch... Do any of those options sound pleasant, reassuring or like they have control and a solid plan of action to resolve this adequately? It gets worse... On to the next extremely concerning issue, today after this snowballing CYA nurse incident, and the lack of pain management, for an hour and twenty-seven minutes; when I'm supposed to be med checked within a maximum of an hour after administration of pain medication to make sure the pain is being managed, and if not, I'm supposed to be given the next resort pain medication. When my day nurse Liz finally came to check on my pain management after an hour and twenty-seven minutes from pain meditation administration, Liz took my blood pressure and it was a systolic BP of 155, Liz immediately attempted to cancel the record before the system documented it, but wasn't fast enough; she then retook my BP which resulted in a 2nd systolic BP of 144... when I just had brain surgery resulting in a major brain subdural hemorrhage and hematoma that's still actively bleeding, Liza RN didn't even give me any sort of medication to help bring my BP to normal levels. No compassion whatsoever! I get it, she just got caught and thrown under the bus by her own negligence, and I'm known as Jason M. F. James that doesn't step down from dis-services that come apparent to me, but to start forging medical records to CYA, and when this BP issue was researched by my concerned father that was here visiting and witness to all of the events, my dad found a legit medical article saying a systolic BP of 140 or above combined with a subdural hemorrhage and hematoma is known to be very possibly fatal and requires immediate intervention, which I was not given; but rather Liza RN attempted to cover up the records, made up nonsensical excuses on multiple accounts and didn't even get the charge nurse to come into my room for over an hour and a half from when I started requesting the charge nurse on multiple accounts, like over 10 requests. I was requesting the charge nurse to come to my room and talk to me since the start of the insulin incident, hours before I was even aware of the BP incident, because Liz was CYA'ing herself on multiple accounts... Deny deny deny telling me, "common honey why do you need her, I'm taking care of it for you." Needless to say, I never backed down and finally was able to get in touch with the charge nurse regarding this day's multiple incidents. Anyways, it's now 3:08am on 8-24-2023, so I guess I'll end this daily update and continue to update you all on the future updates surely to arrive later today. Hopefully they'll be better updates than the 8-23-2023 updates were. I'm still trying to stay positive, but I'm ready for whatever future updates come about, once morning hits and people start their day stirring about. Gotta love these times of unforgettable memories being created. I'm sure I lost most of you at some point during this novel sized update, but if there is anyone that's hung on and read this much of the novel, please continue to pray and that's all I can humbly ask for. Next update for 8-24-2023 will be coming tomorrow at some point. Anybody want to take my place?
