My son and I have been rescuing classic cars since 2013. We love to find them in the woods, behind old garages, or anywhere we can. I grew up with old cars, go karts, dirt bikes, 3 wheelers ect...If it had a motor I was wrenching on it. I wanted to teach my son how gratifing it is to work with your hands, a lost art. After retiring from the Marines after 20 years, I decided to save and rescue vintage cars full time. I just never thought people of all ages would enjoy it as much as I do. There is still life in some of these old cars. Let Em Rip Not Rot!

In the back of a shop for 20 years!
I enjoy doing small engine stuff every once in a while, so when this old 1985 Honda SX popped up, I had to see if I could get it running!

I was from Fayetteville, NC and my first car , in 1976, was a '72 Satellite Sebring. It was sky blue with a white top. I have no clue when and who my dad sold it to.
@@chynnadawl9022 this one could be yours, who knows. It was pretty much a parts car at this point unfortunately.
@@PoorBoysGarageUSMC bit of trivia for the Mopar junkies: My uncle is Melvin Yow from NC who drag raced around the East Coast and then drove for Billy The Kid out of Dayton OH.
Rev it up and cover off the carb. Do it multiple times.Cover over the carb, the vacuum will sometimes clear out the different circuits in the carb.
What sizes of does the jeep have?
You are such a wild guy!! So amazing!!
Yes It sounds almost exactly like my dad‘s Monte Carlo
Looking Good! Good job Poor Boys!🤠👍
Awesome always thanks
Waste of a good car!
I am disappointed! Drive the damned thing.
Its a flathead, how hard can it be to pull the head. I've done it, one one of these engins. Wow it started!
I guess things rust faster there than here. Looks kinda surface rusty under there, still solid though.
Brake rebuild kits never work. Just install a master cylinder that works. Shiuldtake much.
I fabricated a set of split headers, and installed an Offenhouser 2 carb intake. I also had a cam ground for it.
Clean the engine compartment first.
Interior looks good.
There is no such thing as a dental pick. Dental instruments have names, just like tools.
These are easy engines to get running, I've done a couple.
LOL all old days were good days Brad, great reveal and content, muscle memory spot on 🙃
The Coronet is looking awesome. Love that 3 wheeler you're messing with. Sure brings back old times! Thank you for your service. We up here in Ontario Canada sure appreciate you guys/gals. All the best to you and your family. Patch70
@@patch70 right on thanks my man!
That's Awesome Brad ! Chuck the carb in an Ultrasonic cleaner over night and poke all the holes. It'll be fine ;) Let 'er Rip.
Looking good brother.
I had a 85 250R. Total beast of a machine. Put a 300 big bore kit on it, performance reeds, FMF exhaust and running on holeshot tires.
@@billcar741 yep, that's a beast!
Always fun to tinker with the small engine stuff. If it's free, it's for me!! Good job Brad, a little carb work & you'll be towing cars around !!
Those small old Honda’s are great little engines. Congrats Brad. Successful. Enjoy the 3 Wheeler. Yes, know you can make it like new with a little work. Thanks for sharing! 💕💯👊👍🇺🇸
Had the time of my life in the 80's
@@moparmarkstpac best era ever!
Trop cool ,comme d'habitude ! 👍👍👍👍👍
The 250 SX was a good running little ATC. It’s the CDI box. That you were unplugging bud. Most expensive part of the harness. Those dam things the more you run them the better they get. They were always picky about the air box
It's called a CDi box that controls the spark uselessly go's bad if they sit for a long time.
@@lindaharris7809 much appreciated. I had no idea what it was called.
Thats those old Hondas!! Sitting forever and she starts right up👍 Cool find my man.
@@davidgwin4540 yeah I usually don't get that lucky, but that was the case on this one.

New parts keep breaking because there not made in USA or Canada any more. Made in china amazon junk

The Coronet is looking good Brad.
Dam, what a great car. Love it just how it is
Your gaps are at least as good, as when those cars were new! Love the color, Dubs.
That there Hot Rod is looking very good indeed. Keep taking your time. The detail work is the difference between the great builds, and so-so, whatever, Love, Dubs.
Good evening from Cape Cod ⛵ wild Brad she's looking mean totally reassembled 🤘 it sounded real good, too bad that water pump is holding you back. I remember this car when you first got it and boy you did a fantastic job bringing it back around 👍✌️🇺🇲
Excellent work as always man, you are a true inspiration, that Coronet has come a long way and looks PERFECT, You'll get all the bugs sorted out
Awesome
nice
You shpuld have moved the spring mounts and mini tubbed the rear instead of cutting the quarter panels. Now it will never look good again.
Awesome always thanks
Worth the wait!
That would look sooooo good in Sikeston!
Love it good job😊💪🏽
Brad she is lookin trick brother. I hope you start getting a great following on the youtubes.
She looks great and your work is tight! I've seen guys like Shorty on iron resurrection on TV re-do old cracked steering wheels and you just need to spray them after the body filler gets sanded baby smooth and they turn out great. Your the type who puts your mind to it and does it, so do it! That $150 will be in your pocket and it'll cost less. I had a 66 Coronet I loved it, gave it to a buddy when I went in the Army. Good luck.
Just wanted to tell you that from the factory when those are new the gaps in those doors and hoods were not that great. Yours is probably better than it was brand new. I'm 62 years old trust me I understand these things
