value stream map experiment
Experiment: value stream map
Problem: Companies invest in agile and other accelerators, but they don't really know where their bottlenecks are or how they change. Accelerating a non bottleneck step will actually make the flow of value worse.
Hypothesis: Visualizing the flow of value will expose the real bottlenecks, lead us to high impact improvement experiments, and avoid investing in non bottleneck improvement initiatives.
Time Frame: 8 hours, ask pivot or persevere after two hours
Typical Outcomes: Increase increase flow KPIs, increase quality of the relentless improvement backlog
Skill Growth Criteria: You have mapped a value stream in the context of a business goal, identified bottlenecks, crafted improvement experiments, executed the experiments and used product and flow KPIs to measure the impact of those experiments.

Hi George! SAI provides a study guide and a practice exam in your portal! I recommend taking the practice right away. The exam doesn't tell you the correct answer for the ones you get wrong, but it does tell you what sections to study to find the answer. Very cool! And you can take the practice as many times as you wish. Note, most people drop about 8 points from the practice exam vs the real one. If your score is in the 90s on the first try on the practice exam, you are likely to pass the real one.
