Why I finally changed to wax lubricant on my bicycle chain
zhlédnutí 330Před 3 měsíci
I "harvested" a bunch of metallic sludge after cleaning my bike chain - this had all been created by the chain wearing. Wax reduces wear by preventing abrasive particles from getting into the chain.

Make DIY Estes model rocket engine hooks

Wiper blades have flat steel springs which are perfect for making your own engine hooks. They're even stainless steel which makes them better than the ones from Estes. Make them custom lengths for D,E, F engines, even composite motors.
Lifehack: Best way to use toe warmers when skiing

Chemical toe warmers (air-activated) turn to gravel and that's really uncomfortable under your toes. Put them on top and it's more comfortable, less likely to bunch up, and warmer since there's less insulation on top

"Pizza Style" Sourdough stretch and fold
zhlédnutí 218Před 5 měsíci
I haven't seen anyone else do this type of stretch and fold - first I stretch to a large disc, as though I was making a pizza, then I fold it back onto itself to make a ball. I think it gives better tension, more easily, than trying to make more numerous, but smaller stretches and folds

Ok, I tried it, and this is how I will cut round loaves from now on. It was much easier than I expected, and it is crazy that you don't see it any where else. Genius!
Managed to fold my maxxis folding one easily because of this video thankss❤🥂
Excellent video. Great information and clearly/effectively communicated. Many thanks. Plan on purchasing to test. 👍🏻
Brilliant !! Shaving off the rib and reverse mounting the mirror eliminated the mirror support stalk hitting my sunglasses. Would have never thought of that; thanks
Thanks for the tip, will look into that...
Great tips. Quick tip, consider getting an off-camera microphone; kinda hard to hear you.
Very clever design! Would you share your 3D printed hook file please? Thanks!
I've posted at Printables. I also made a pannier using a lightweight messenger bag I got for free. I recommend the coroplast inside to provide some structure, otherwise a floppy bag could end up in the spokes. www.printables.com/model/905434-diy-grocery-pannier-clips
Good that you showed the mess of an oiled chain. Please compare against @zerofrictioncycling992 🙂

Rats! I just threw away an old wiper. But my truck needs a new one on the passenger side so all is not lost 😂
My wife would kill me if I did that in the house/kitchen🤣🤣
Good info. Appreciate your confidence at adaption with copper wire.
Rate please
have you tried automatic transition oil ? this is the best chain lube i have found .
Automatic transmission fluid is a medium to light oil with a high detergent so would certainly be a good chain lube, however it is not going to exclude particulate contamination, so will not have the same benefits of wax
Some great tips there. Especially the elastic band for when the bag is empty.
wahahawha love the lao gan ma bottle
That was fun 😂
what size compressor (gallons)? What PSI?
6 gallom pancake compressor, 120 PSI
@@yrwu-vd2fv Nice and thanks. After watching your video, I've built my own. Works great.
Not sure why this video was on my recommended feed. I don't ski, nor do I watch anything to do with skiing. But it's good advice for work in cold weather, so thumbs up.
I was wondering why this video got recommended to me but then I realized I subscribed to you because of your video about the third eye bike mirror. I ordered the exact mirror you recommended and added the wire and tape for security. I’m waiting for good weather to test it out but I can already tell its a solid piece of equipment. I bike on some busy roads and have a bad habit of veering into traffic when I look behind me so God only knows but you might’ve saved my life. Thanks for the videos, I happen to be shipping/selling a lot of stuff out right now so this video is appreciated as well
Seems like you are blasting all sorts of contaminates like bacteria, stagnate water, rust, oil, mold and anything else that happens to be in your compressor, compressor tank, fittings, hose and nozzle into your garlic. Have you ever seen what comes out of a compressor when you drain it? Not something I'd want anywhere near food I'm preparing. Because you're blasting the garlic with pressure there's a strong chance you could be injecting nasty stuff into the outer cells of the garlic making it impossible to simply wash off. Chances are you won't get sick but why take the chance? I can't imagine a health dept allowing restaurants to use a home air compressor to peel garlic.
Just to test out your theory, I blasted a white cotton facial pad for 4-5 minutes, and there wasn't anything at all I could see in the pad. I also tried a piece of white laboratory grade filter paper - still nothing. It's certainly possible that the industrial air compressor at the corner filling station has some of what you're talking about, but nothing visible with an oilless compressor (Porter Cable 6 gallon) which is well-maintained.
Very nice, in my youth I never successfully got the second stage fired off
Super advice! I have used third eye helmet mirror for 25 years and 100,000 miles
😭 Promo`SM
Olive Garden wanna know your number
Being so close to your left eye, does the mirror block the view of oncoming traffic? Like cars making left turn
Once you get used to it there is no obstruction to vision, your other eye fills everything in for you, much like you never notice the blind spot in your eyes (your eyes have a natural blind spot due to the optic nerve) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blind_spot_(vision)
thanks bro, i will try it 🙂
Thank you for sharing. This is a godsend!!!
Thank you, I'm happy with the AirZound performance so far, but always looking for improvements.
You beauty! Thank you thank you! Been at pains on how to get more even slices! Can’t wait to give it a go with my next sourdough. Excellent hack!
Great video; I used the tungsten scrapers on dry solid stained (BMoore Arborcoat -- avoid this crap) deck with a shop vac. Scraping solid stain off with a little under stain wood seems to work best but it is super time consuming and you're on your knees. The tried your method with the Behr stripper, power washer and tungsten scraping -- just felt like it led to a huge goopy mess with flecks of solid stain all over the place. Also used 2 applications of the Behr stripper and it still didn't get most of the stain off. I'm going Belt Sander w 40 grit sandpaper to see if that works any better than messy chemicals.
WOOOOW, you must be a genius 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂ (being sarcastic)
It sound like you're already familiar with this technique and consider yourself to be very knowledgeable - why don't you share some of the many things you know instead of making snide remarks?
For the people who think only front loaders get moldy.... us appliance guys know the truth, that top loaders are not only dirtier, they don't clean your clothes as well and they can't balance and spin worth a damn!
Awesome design thanks for sharing!
❤
Great video!! Very helpful!!
tldr glue or cement your perfect angle
Thanks for the tips. I have been working on stripping stain from my deck, using a few cans of stripper, a palm sander, and power washing, but still am not finished. Grrr Like you stated, even though the stripper professes to start working very quickly, it takes a long time for it to bubble up, if at all. Also, how correct you are about the fact that if it dries on the wood, it is useless and basically it all s bear to impossible to scrape it off. Dampening the stripper sounds like a great idea. Once done, I will ‘only’ use oil-based stain. On my back deck, I used Hard Rock. It is a total waste of money, as it started to chip within months, and is impossible to remove, as it apparently is not meant to come off. I just bought a heat gun, so I shall see if that helps in the removal. Buyer beware!
I bumped up against the same issue. I used some large clear garbage bags to cover the paint stripper to keep it moist. It works
@@lifehealingmagic The stripper didn't dissolve the plastic?
Great video, how long did it take you? I have 1000 sq feet 🥲
The stripper part was most of 2 days, though subtracting the "soak" time it was perhaps 8 hours total actual work. Scraping and sanding was another 8 hours - you definitely want 60 grit at most and the carbide scrapers were amazing
@@yrwu-vd2fv 16 hours of hard labor, man, I gave a bid for stripping a 500sq ft deck and re-staining it at $1,750 including materials and spindels (Not stripping the spindels, just pressure washing and staining). Ef that, right? Hate to back out of it but I think it's more like a $2,500 job
Can you tell me what color stain and brand you used? I know at the beginning that you wanted the cedar look.
Well this washer is Garbage anyway so Fuck it.
Thanks Bud...well done!
Nice video. Sir what is the size of air jet hole. Also please advicewhat is the air pressure
The air hole is about 1 mm, the pressure is 150 PSI
Does it come wish an SD CARD?
whats the size of the whole device do you think? 3 1/2 " by 3 1/2" roughly? cant seem to find anything on the net so far.. thanks! great video keep them coming
Awesome Video.. Learned alot from this. Thank You 🙏🏻
Very useful thank you!
Thanks for the tip. To improve it what about for the exhaust use a fine mess bag to collect the peel as the kid from India do. Hope you can improve and do the 3.0
Interesting idea, I may have to try that as currently I have to blow all the skins off myself when I'm done
Cool! Thank you for this.
I had to purchase the entire hibg assembly. That eliminated the pin removal problem,
