hi may I know what's your collab email

Hello Leonard, I've been a follower from the start and maybe you recognize some of the comments I've made, I want to thank you for your fun and informative videos and the good advice you've given over time. I would like to ask for some advice, my brother lives in Kingston upon Hull in England and I live in Colombia (south America), I want to gift him a bicycle for his daily commute, are there any websites and bicycles you can recommend, my budget is below £ 450 and I want to buy a hybrid bike for him, he's not a cyclist but he's been using bikes for his personal transport since he arrived to live in England. Thanks and best regards
Hello there, that’s very generous of you to give your brother a bike. I’ve had a quick look and my suggestion would be to have a look at the Planet X website. They have some good budget bikes and will be able to send it direct to your brother. I hope it works out.
@@jollygoodvelo thank you very Much!
I have seen some of your carmera reveiw before and the wonder of the magic stick remove. I'm still wondering if they ever manage to remove the stick and the camera shadow...
That’s the dream. Alternatively just come to the UK right now where there is no sunshine. No sunshine means no shadow!
I purchased very first 360 camera, and accessories, replaced once because it refused to initiate software, than, realised that the Micto memory card has to be "special", then realised that battery last maximum 20min, (HD mode) and shuts down because of overheating, then that preview LC with many is so tiny and useless. So... No more 360 products. Naturally they upgraded soft, and hardware many times, but it is so absorbing, disappointing, and costly. No more. Thank you. And you need large internal memory mobile phone to upload your HD files, forget about 4K, 6K to 8K. I prefer to spend my money on better bike upgrades, and enjoy riding, Even thou I work non stop on various computer hardware and software this 360 gadges are junk.
That may have been the case in the past with previous models but you might be pleasantly surprised if you tried one now.
I think keep saying upgrade to 8k and getting the x4 for 8k is misleading as you know you have to reframe so your actual watchable footage from 360 is somewhere between 2.7 and 4K maybe. I’ve owned x2 X3 and now X4 and yes I do think it’s excellent a waterproof Water-sports camera 🥳🥳
I do make this clear in the video but I agree shooting 8k on the X4 is not the same as shooting 8k on a regular camera. The image quality is still pretty impressive, though.
Yes I Agee it’s a great camera, some people have criticised it with the quality of the images but it is better than the X3 and it is the best 360 camera in the market I personally love the fact you can get the exact viewing angle when editing, Just have to be mindful of the protruding lens if you use without the lens covers, enjoyed watching 🥳
Let enthousiasm be your motivation, then fitness will follow. If you do not like cycling in the rain, then do something else.
Great review, but I have a cycling curiosity. You and I are about the same size. What Trek bike do you ride, what kind of carbon wheels do you use, what tires, and what do you inflate them to? I'm sure we could discuss these topics for days, but just having some straight answers would really be helpful. Thanks in advance if it is something you don't mind passing on.
No problem. The bike is a 2014 Trek Madone 4.9 and the wheels are Winspace Hypers. (I review the wheels and; czcams.com/video/zfGGzzV87hw/video.htmlsi=0p4fMRTW8xD3RI70 And have a discount code (JollyGood10) The tyres are Hutchinsons and I pump them up to around 90 PSI. Hope that helps.
@@jollygoodvelo Thanks for that! 700 x 28 tires at 90 PSI?
@@Rocketrecliner Yes!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nope
Have you tried using the gestures to start and stop video recording while you are riding? The problem with the voice control is the wind noise when you’re out riding.
I haven’t but then I don’t really need to. The camera is close enough to me to be able to press the quick record button by hand.
What's the nighttime performance like ? I would probably want to use something like this for evidence gathering in case of an accident as the 360 degrees capture seems useful for this ?
Low light performance isn’t really any better (or worse) than any other camera but I’m not sure evidence gathering would be the best use scenario. For that I would suggest an action camera with a rolling record function.

@@jollygoodvelo Thanks for the advice. I will take your suggestion on board as you are a camera expert ! BTW , you duplicated your comment which is good as it suggests you copy them before posting ? CZcams has quietly silenced dozens of mine but as Baldrick from Blackadder would say " I have a cunning plan " 🙂
@@dawn_rider I did post a reply but when I looked it was’t there so I posted a second one. Not sure what’s going on with CZcams comments sometimes.
Looks superb but they just need to work on the invisible selfie-stick’s shadow 😂
That would be very good. Mind you here in the UK it’s not too much of an issue; we need sunshine for shadows.
The local routes are always welcome when you come back from riding a long hard ride somewhere else. I have a familiar loop I ride regularly and when I did the first time after a weekend ride I actually surprised myself. Sometimes a ride away can be more beneficial than it seems at the time.
What do you recommend. I need a simple 4k 30 fps camera to shoot overhead shots of my phone for app videos.
A regular action camera would be perfect so something like the DJI Action 4
So, with the hand gestures, voice control, and increased recording time, the Insta360 X4 is a "pickle tickler!" Your using that phrase made me laugh!
It certainly tickles my pickle!
congratulations, you made it look easy. I hope you can continue to challenge yourself now that you are back home.
I like to talk when i am driving like you dit last video.
If you are using this in a car to record audio the camera mics will probably be all you need but if it’s still a little noisy it might be worth investing is some kind of microphone.
I just buy one camera because of the images i saw on your video.
thanks for the review, I just bought this a week ago and I live in China, its terribly useless, no maps and navigation works, it seems this device isn't suitable and work in China?
I had the X2 and decided to not get the X3 but to wait for something with more resolution. Now I got the X4 and it is a nice upgrade with not just the resolution but also a much better screen and a ton of new features and usability improvements. Especially the configurable custom modes where you can prepare your specific settings for different kind of shots are great.
I can imagine the upgraded resolution from the One X2 to the X4 is very noticeable
I still have X1
@@mohdnawas10 It depends on what you do. I mix the videos from the Insta360 cam with my Lumix cameras. I had the GH6 and now I'm using the G9-II. If I create a 90° view out of the 8k (for the full 360°), I get 2k. 90° is like a 18mm lens on a full frame camera. The result is FHD resolution in theory but there is a lot of de-squeezing and lens correction going on so it is not the best FHD quality that is coming out of it. On the other hand, I get action shots and angles that are completely impossible or extremely difficult with other cameras. The X2 had only 5.7k and even this was acceptable but I was sure I would get the next version of the camera if it has more resolution. First tests show, that it is a significant step up. But cameras, video and taking pictures are my most expensive hobby, so for my budget, this whole X4 camera is less expensive than a good lens I might have bought for the Lumix camera. It improves the capabilities to create videos on the bicycle while riding so much that I actually didn't had to think about the upgrade more than a few minutes.
@@mohdnawas10 That’s about the only Insta360 camera I haven’t tried.
I have a X4 and its a great bit of kit, I also have the rubber lens hood cover as well which protects it getting it out of my pocket or with having other stuff in the pocket as well. It is quite heavy so much so when I first used it I had it on my cheap selfie stick which had some serious sagging going on so I bought a insta360 one and that is so stout I could use it as a baton during a riot. Its great for fly by shot with the auto tracking feature no more doing double takes at the same spot its now all seamless. Will it replace my gopro? no not really but I think that's because I am still learning what the X4 can do in the mean time I will run both side by side. I do find in some circumstances it does get a little blown out but that is me being picky to be honest. Keep up the vids Leonard I am really enjoying them.
I think the X4 and some kind of regular action camera (GoPro or Action 4) is the dream team camera setup for us vloggers.
Thanks Leonard, interesting video. The technology is coming on leaps and bounds. However, there is one thing that many reviewers fail to talk about. That one thing is audio. Somebody once told me that a nice image can make a great video, but bad audio can break it. It would be great to know well the audio works, and what you use in order to get good audio. I should say, your audio, as well as the video is great.
Absolutely correct about audio, especially for vlogs. If you can’t hear what someone is saying the pictures almost become irrelevant. I should have included an audio test in this video but in the vlog I released the other day I use the X4 with the Lark M2 radio mics. You can have a listen and see what you think
@@jollygoodvelo does the X4 have internal Bluetooth so you don't have to use a dongle?
@@FiveMinuteVelo There is some kind of Bluetooth but I don’t know if it connects to mics directly. I use a receiver plugged into the camera.
@@FiveMinuteVelo I was able to connect to my AirPods with the built-in bluetooth and use the AirPods as a mic.
The 360 was cool in the first place, but the new features, just wow. Not a bad price for what you get either.
I really like using mine!
Hi Leonard. Quick questions do you have a favorite hydration drink and do yo include electrolytes? 1:13
Not really, I just tend to use whatever I have at the time.
@@jollygoodvelo Thanks, keep it up.🚴♀️
Fancied an action camera on and off for years and the notorious go pro freezing issue always put me off. It's simply unacceptable for a device costing that much and when every new model still has the freezing issue requiring a battery pull. Did like the look of the insta360 go camera but apparently the android app is borderline useless, so that's put me off the brand completely as they don't seem as focussed on android users vs iphone... Just ordered a DJI Osmo Action 3 though, so shall see how I get one with my first action camera for filming trail running videos 🤞🏻🤞🏻
The Action 3 is a fantastic camera. You’ll love it.
hola, alguien puede ayudarme a grabar en vertical?
I had a Whyte 529 MTB which was absolutely fantastic for my regular commutes on very poorly surfaced roads as well as exhilirating dirt rides but it got nicked and I decided to replace it with a Saracen Levarg because the Whyte's heavy and I'm not really skillful enough to make full use of its immense potential. The Levarg is the bike I go to most out of my small bike collection (a traditional steel tourer and a carbon racer) which speaks volumes.
Thanks for the continued high quality and motivational cycling videos Leonard. As a somewhat older and relatively heavier rider myself, your vlogs over the last few years have inspired me to continue to do harder things on my bike 😁
Osmo Action 4 here after 5 or 6 GoPros. RIP GoPro. Hated the glitches and the need to take out the battery.
Looking good Leonard!
Good to see you back in Majorca. We're heading out there soon and we're thinking of taking our drone with us. Have you ever taken a drone with you to capture some of those special moments or beautiful scenery? Is there anything in particular we need to know about in taking and flying a drone there?
I’ve only taken a drone out there once and managed to get one shot before there was a technical issue with the drone. As for rules and regs, I think as long as the drone is under 250g you should be able to fly it anywhere…but don’t quote me; check!
Thanks for replying 👍 We both love watching your videos. The recent South Africa rides truly were epic 👏 Thanks for all the effort you go to in putting all your videos together. We're only recently starting out and can appreciate all the effort that it takes 👍👏
Anti cycling aggression is just a form of bullying. I ride bicycles: Motorbikes: Cars. I have driven commercial vehicles for work. In my experience car drivers are generally the worst. Least experienced and most impatient, they seem to fall back on agression towards, and blaming of, anything that highlights their inability to understand and apply basic driving skills. Of course, a commitment from our great leaders (snigger) to improve driving standards would not be a vote winner, would it?
I am impressed Leonard, easy to see (from my perspective) that your fitness levels have really improved. You really appear to be going a lot faster than before. Holidays OS and the time to spend on the bike have served you well. A rel speed demon now! Good on you!
It is always good to feel stronger and faster. Hope you enjoy your rides ahead.
Excellent explanation of cadence!👍
Wow great job
i dont like fish eye lens i hate it so no thanks ied rather go for the gopro 12 for now
Hi Leonard, been watching your channel for some time, and has inspired me to get out on the bike and do some (local) travelling to around London and to get fit (having just turned 50). I've just got myself an Insta360 cam, and was wondering if you need/use a wiresless mic, or whether the cam on the bike mount is good for recording voiceover when the roads are not too busy. myself and few friends are heading to West Sussex (staying chichester) next weekend, and I'm hoping to get some good video footage of the area and our riding ventures.
I would say that you don’t necessarily need a radio mic but maybe some kind of wind muff over the mics. When cycling along the wind noise can be deafening. Enjoy cycling around Chichester. I’m not too far from there so if you see me riding my bike be sure to say hello.
Hi Leonard Working my way back through your videos after getting back on a bike last November. Now 62 and have to say find them hugely helpful in moving forward on my own health and fitness journey. Cracked my first ever 100 miles around the New Forest a couple of weeks ago partly due to swallowing my pride and donning some proper appropriate kit, did I care, at first but compensated by the huge grin I still carry from my own achievement. I live near Lyndhurst and if I we happen to bump into each other one day in the Forest I owe you a coffee and cake that’s for sure. Thanks for your insight fella. Clay
Hi Clay, we’ll done on your big ride. I will be over in the New Forest again very soon so definitely keep an eye open for me.

Thanks, will do!
Hi Leonard, got the 4.9 Madone di2, the grey and red, the year before yours and its a great bike. Dead cheap to buy and in mint condition, easy to maintain and I fitted the Bontrager race xxx lite carbon wheels 20yrs old and the bike goes as good if not better than the modern disc brake bikes around at stupid prices. Glad you also like the bike. Great video's keep em coming
They are great bikes.
Have you lost weight? You look a little slimmer! Great to see you riding more and feeling fitter.
Hey Charlie. I’ve managed to lose a few kgs but this camera angle is very flattering.
A pretty regular route for me up to the Bat and Ball. Usually go straight across and climb up to Mercury which always reminds that I am 80 this year, but the down hill to the Meons is worth it.
That’s a tough climb up to Mercury.
Looking good Leonard , the fitness must be really coming nicely. You’ve had a great year.
Yes, thank you
