The sound comes from the type of pellet fired. If firing supersonic pellets, it will create a louder sound, like the sonic boom of a jet but on a way smaller scale. If firing the regular, heavier type pellets, the sound does come down significantly. I have both a Rueger Air Hawk 1000 & this Silent Cat & fired the the same regular hollow points & the Gamo was much quieter.
Dude I just got the crosman fury with a 4x32 scope and it has 1,200 fps it is way better then that stuff people who love crosman instead of gamo subscribe to me I will do a review and some test firing #GO CROSMAN!!!!!
cool video and no up here in illinois we hunt BIG bucks not this small 2 year old eight let him grow then he will probably be a 10 point buck next season and a three year old and hey maybe let him grow a few more seasons put em on the hitlist man illinois got some of the best hunting for whitetail in illinois!
just got the gun it is strong dont buy pba ammo it is bad for ur gun so just get lead pellets and soak them in watter let them dry and put light oil on them and out of my silent cat i get 1250 fps good vid keep it goin , michael

It needs to be broken in first. Which is about 500 or so rounds. Then it becomes a whisper.

I just got one and mine is extremely loud. I think its because it breaks the sound barrier and causes a mini sonic boom

I had a beast of a buck let out a 4 second grunt in late October. It was so awesome to hear! Gave me the chills big time!
