Well, this time the crash was for realz, unlike the Paynes Creek one. 😉 I LOVED the Beavis and Butthead voices in the background.👍 Quite a few of interesting old houses in that area. Thanks JD.
I found the Carson Mansion online and had to check it out...I made the crash sound effects myself with Reaper and Audacity

Thank you, Jack! After my wife passed I needed something to keep me busy... otherwise I'd prolly drink myself to death ... so i got back into photography. Wes and I parted ways... the drummer and the bass player want as many gigs as they can get... they're retired...I still work...im a once a month kinda guy...

I was going to include some history... but Im not much of a researcher I guess... do know there were houses there in the 1800-early 1900s...I believe Finley Lake was named after Adolf Finley.. could be wrong

Your drone shots shows me why I LOVE our area JD. Especially this time of year when everything is green. Around the 7:55 mark, I can see the remnants of the Paynes creek highway that was used before 36 was built. I like your sound track too. I think some Enya ( Enja ) music would also go good. Thanks for the journey.

Very cool! I love the way you flew under the Pulga bridge and around the dam! And I was happy to see the Keddie Y! I wasn't expecting that. Living just a couple minutes away from that trestle for most of my life, I sure spent a lot of time around it! Very cool footage! You are making me want a DJI drone now! That Mini 2 actually has a really good camera on it! And very stable! Far better footage than I ever got from my Holy Stone with a mind of its own!
The wind was getting it by Pulga...I was scared for a bit...I actually wanted to shoot more of the canyon...Storrie and Tobin... but there was so much road work! The Mini 2 is a pretty cool little drone...it doesn't have the crash avoidance... but if you're cautious it shouldn't be an issue...Id get the fly more kit...heres a link: DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo Quadcopter with Remote Controller CP.MA.00000306.01 (Renewed) a.co/d/c9mUemD I'm happy with mine.

Very cool. I'm gonna have to eventually buy a "Real" drone. A year ago I bought some off brand drone that I had researched to be a "good one" but almost every time I would fly it, it would go rogue on me. It would go up fine, but then start to become unstable, and next thing I know, it just takes off in some random direction completely out of my control. Pretty scary. In a year of owning the thing, I've only managed to get a couple videos with it because I've always been too afraid I was going to lose it. And the other day, it went rogue again and I haven't seen it since :-(
Hi LaRell, sorry it took so long for me to get back to you...I had no idea anyone commented on my stuff. Im pretty new at this stuff...I love my DJI Mini 2 so far its been crash proof...**knocks on wood** I had a Holy Stone drone that once I got it airborne it started ignoring me so I poked the emergency shut down... and down it came...wound up in a crumpled heap in my neighbors yard.
