It never giddy ups! It just sits there. I despise your antiTrumpism but that's good.
sounds great
Saw it today, but I walked out in the second act. I enjoyed Poor Things so was curious and excited by the cast. I thought I might be a fan of this filmmaker, but I fear I am mistaken.
It's based on true events.
Its unlike anything else so well worth a watch. I loved it.
Much preferred this one to the original 2. I thought the chemistry between the two leads was much more watchable than that of Emily Blunts character and family. While it wasn’t as tense or scary as the first film, it’s the only one of the trilogy that I will look forward to re-watching
"...And then of course she was in Arse."
Loved the first one and having rewatched it the other night its a great concept and had some great moments. Seen this yesterday and while its not a bad movie it does nothing new its just ok.
this one would've been better if it was the first one
Why is he making out a quiet place part 2 was decent, it was a repeat of the first film done badly.
Yeah that was a quick turnaround
Sounds great.
7:50 why did Costner choose to set up the story like it’s a tv show??
I really enjoyed it, did have a similar feel to the Yellowstone prequels, but the action scenes/acting were excellent.
Whoosh! Talk about going over a reviewer's head...
Verry disappointed with this movie
Just watched this last night. What an awesome film, very memorable very impressive.
This thing will be streaming...fast.
Sounds like ass
there are no horror elements. it's a drama film
Watched it last night, and no one talked when watching it. I enjoyed it and loved the cat 🐈
Pretty uneven western, better suited on streaming. I think I'll wait for part 2 on streaming .
This series really dropped away for me as it progressed and sadly in the end I felt like it didn't amount to much. Had high hopes.
I agree here. Ed Harris had the scariest hairstyle I have seen in some time.
Great movie and look forward to the second and third one,,these guys are wrong!
I thought it was a pure oddity, thought it was thrilling and loved it
Proof that YT doesn't know me, it will occasionally recommend one of Mark's reviews, but never the Laughter Lift
i didn't find it funny but the only other person in the cinema with me was a bloke who was howling.
Brilliant film loved it. Roll on part 2
i don't understand what i watched. edit - now you've explained it, i see the 3 stories were not connected. i spent the whole time trying to piece everything together like it was a puzzle. i thought the man from part 1 was unravelling in part 2 and joined a cult in part 3. didn't know they were meant to be 3 distinct, unconnected stories.
Not surprised a certain type of person is the lead. Does this movie explain what the aliens/monsters are? Why they’re on earth? How to stop them?
This is a sprawling, old fashioned Western with a heightened sense of reality. Costner really knows how to do the subject matter right. Equal parts historical fact and authenticity, and dramatic and sometimes horrific storytelling. It was a rough period during the country’s evolution, and he doesn’t shy away from it. Chapter One is setting the story in motion, with lots of different characters and individual storylines that you just know will converge at some point in varying degrees as the story moves along. I didn’t expect to see a typical “beginning to end” kind of movie in this one episode. He’s taking his time, and I loved it. Right up my alley.
Some instinct tells me that an American civil war era sex worker would not be that elegant and beautiful.
I enjoyed it. I thought Lupita's performance was brilliant, as always.
Cinema is dead for me, wait for stream and blu ray if it's good, prices for 4 at the cinema, travelling food and drink and then putting up with patrons who are either on their phones lights distractions and worse elbows and smells nacho cheese.
Thank you Mark for giving Lupita her dues
Sounds more like Mark is reviewing the film that took best picture that year - a confusing headache of a mess. Babylon however, one of my fav movies of all time!
Anyone notice how TERRIBLE Hugh Jackman's accent was in this? Switched it up every line or two
Dances with wolves is epic, I hope this is as good.
The dub “Kevin’s Gate” is for Waterworld- not dances with wolves.
No, for Dances.
I've been looking forward to this BUT I feel it is one of those Marmite films.
I thought it was great. Thinking about it now I'd compare it to Dune, in terms of quality, length & setting things up for the next film. Also I thought the montage at the end was a montage of what we've just seen. Not a montage of what's to come.
It’s not for Simon.
Water world needs drowning
Lupita Nyong’o is brilliant but the movie was such a letdown. So much potential wasted and will probably only be remembered for featuring the most unrealistic cat-behaviours ever put to screen.
just watched it a couple nights ago on cable... i didn't expect these feels, man... spectacular film on every level. farell was mesmerizing
Power in the Darkness. Had the stencil on the parcel shelf of my car back in the day. If you know you know. 🙌
To me Lanthimos is a one-trick pony, a bit like Wes Anderson. I quite liked Sacred Deer, though.
Is it better than Open Range? I recall that being fawned over at the time and it was godawful.
There was nothing cohesive in this movie like a good movie "How the West was Won".
i might see this BUT costner is such a hit or miss. however, i do admire his old school naivety and business mind
