I greatly enjoy your authentic and sometimes prophetic reactions to Outlander. I am struck with how aware of and sensitive to a great many things you are in the production of this show that I don’t think other people notice, even though it may affect their reaction to a scene at an subconscious level. I love that you were reactive to the fact that the intensity of the color and sound in Season 1 signified a greater or less intensity of being alive in the scenes of the two different time periods. I love your response to music and the emotions it evokes, whereas so many others may not notice the tempo or musical color of the instrumentation. I love that you notice all sorts of things about the costumes and sets. I love your genuine laughter at funny scenes. And I love your predictions. Some of them may miss the mark even though they may make sense, but some of them are so on the nose that it is amazing to me. You are a very perceptive person, and it makes listening to your observations extremely interesting to me. Thank you for doing this. It’s quite enjoyable to be with you on your Outlander journey.

Your right that Diana Gabbaldon does alot of research for her books, it takes her 3-4years to write each book and she is currently writing book 10. The first book was published in 1991. Just a fun fact Diana actually wrote episode 11 in season 2 called Vengeance is mine which is personally one of my favourites of this season.

I don't know if you're a big reader or not. But at the very least, when you finish this series.You should listen to the audio books. It was the first season for me that got me into the books and i'm anxiously awaiting more.

The allies would be France and Scotland. Well, the Jacobites anyway. The French also wanted a Catholic KIng on the throne so politics and religion were being mixed in together. I'm so glad you are enjoying the show and the little bits of intrigue thrown in as well

The lack of subtitles for French is so annoying. In S1 the gaelic isn't subtitled because it's Claire perspective and dhe doesn't understand. But everyone in this scene speaks French fluently! You can turn on cc but then you get the English subs too, which is distracting.

Love that you got the kilt! I also have Scottish ancestry dating back to the 1700s. My cousin is into genealogy and found that our ancestors are from the Lockheart clan. If you find out which clan your ancestry is from, maybe you could find the tartan for that clan!

I never watched the series as I stopped reading the books when I realised I was reading books written by a bigot. Racism, sexism and fat shaming put me off Diana Gabaldon. And I am not the only one who noticed this. If you enjoyed the books and series, good for you. I didn't.

She left 1746 (Culloden) when Jamie sent her back. It's 202 years. You need a Scottish sporran, not a Viking pouch!

No. When she gets off the plane in Boston, she is remembering getting off the ship in France with Jamie. She is actually back in 1948 but you'll have to wait until you see that again. The Compte St. Germain is season two's bad guy. (He's actually based on a real person). Also, you should be getting translations on the screen. Not sure why you're not.

I have the dvd's for Outlander and when I watch season 2 it has the subtitles when they are talking french. I don't know where you are watching Outlander, but I thought they all show subtitles when not speaking english.

This first episode conects with the last episode of season, so epic, great and emotional. The seventh is heartbreaking an Catriona it deserves an Oscar and all the actors prices. You will see, greets from Galicia, Spain
