Does anyone know where the Virtual DJ mapper has disappeared to?

There's an old saying: Once on the internet...always on the internet. I don't know if you would like my comment or not but, I can get any version with the waybackmachine.

Not everyone is running Windows 10 or 11. I am still using 8.1 on my gig laptop which is not compatible with the newer versions of VDJ

I don't understand why some people is so afraid of updating. If you're a pro dj, I get it you don't do it before a gig and getting to know the new version, but after the gig you do the upgrade and read what's new, maybe it's something you can take advantage of. I always update automatically to the latest public build and never had a single problem. So, why not?

Thank you so much for this video! I just got the controller and I use it with serato dj Pro and I usually use in my mixes the FX controller. As you did in this video, do you know how to map this function in serato dj pro and how would you recommend mapping it?

Just came across your chanel and thanks for the information you are doing a great job. Is there a way to prep stem on one laptop which ia more poweeful for stems 2.0and play the prepped stems on another laptop which can't mange stems 2.0. Can the prepped stems be synced through onedrive cloud drive. Thanks in advance

Thanks Klaus for your video on this and your zip files. I had seen your video a long time ago but, I installed Virtual DJ on another PC but, I forgot where I learned about the shaders from until I asked John Howard today on Facebook. With my Google Chrome I have to right click and save the link as and then it starts to download but, a warning saying insecure download blocked...it shows me a keep button but, it doesn't allow me to keep it. With Firefox it gives me a warning too but, it allows me to keep the file. Thanks for the videos. You have a great channel with virtualdj. tips however. i don't see any reason to install faders as you restricted & reliant on the Hercules audio drivers. . i presume you already have a pro audio interface. i'm using a Arturia Minifuse 4 which has much lower latencies.I have a video illustrating this & jog wheel backspin modification. . czcams.com/video/NopwIVIms5I/video.htmlsi=u_BqdEjTc6-VHCxf . I tried to test the t7 with DJAY but you have to buy the pro upgrades & use the Hercules drivers.

Hmmm, I have version 24b8225 and I see my cue points in the waveform when I have the waveform column active in my list... [EDIT: okay a saw another video from you - this function wasn't available at the time you recorded this video.] Can I give you feedback?: why not write down the used VDJ version into the video description when you record a video? But your color coding method is still a more obvious way to display missing cues. I - personal view - would just use this color temporary, because I use a few other colors too and don't like to have a lot of different colors when I play, because at the end maybe I can't remember what is what or can spot colors/meaning fast enough, but as a temporary setting the color filter is a good thing, I think. If you don't mind a question, I would have one, please: I saw nothing similar in the filter list for coloring tracks with a saved loop. Yes, I see the color (if given) of this loop in the waveform (in the list waveform, too), but not for a filter. Do you have any hack/idea how to color code songs with/without at least one saved loop? I came from Mixxx, I'm new relatively new to VDJ (Infinity) and your explaining gave me a lot of explaining about useful functions. Other users in the comments mentioned that you seem to be the VDJ "go-to-guy". As I have seen this, you got my sub. Does this mean the stem seperation is done on Tidal server side? Meaning my weak laptop might be able to stream stems?

It's definitely not the same in the 2 programs and i think ppl hv an expectation to what it's supposed to sound like because of the standard set by pioneer. In rekordbox the spiral has an endless trail, like a gentle echo+reverb on the 1 beat setting and with the fx volume knob it was easily controlled in increasing or decreasing the velocity of the effect. The trail was continuous and in the same pitch and volume as long as the effect was on.. i mean it would last forever without dying even if the song stopped playing. The main difference between them is that in vdj, the pitch is affected using the value/ fx volume knob and it don't last as long, where as in rekordbox the pitch is only affected by the amount of beats given to the effect. On 1 beat, the pitch is not affected so it's the same throughout with gentle controlled echo as mentioned, then on 2 beats and up , the pitch get's lower, on 3/4 beats and less the pitch gets higher.

I use ddj Rev 5 with rekordbox and virtual dj and I can say that Spiral fx is too much better in rekordbox. But I prefer vdj for other reasons

good day Kaus, I went from virtal djpro, yes very old to vdj 2024 on new laptop. I copied all my music over with the same folder set up. I copied my music playlist over to my doc folder on my new laptop and the lists are all there as well all tracks, but the songs are not in the proper order and many of the comments are missing. I'm wondering if I copy my database file over and drop it in docs foler will that fix.?? thanks

Hello Klaus, I would just like to say Thank you with sincerity, I wish to express my deep gratitude for your generosity of spirit, I really appreciate the opportunity to use these shaders and to have them in folders, it is a little overwhelming for me, as you are the first person to offer me real help! I've Suffered with dyslexia so most every technical processors are that much more difficult, one little thing Klaus, I did not find the folders within the packages, do you still have the folders available, if so could you let me know if you can get them to me, best wishes, regards Archie. 😊

How did you map the reverse switch to your echo?

I see in the video that the tone play looks like a scoter and it shouldn't look like that. It would be great to modify the mapping or show it since I lowered the mapping and I don't know how to modify that detail
