    Definately NOT the best haka by a fairly big margin. Good effort but being a wedding probably too much alcohol consumed already.

    i am abkhazian myself and living in turkey. me and my family addicted to our culture and dances very much. i'm trying to live it as best as i can ( as far as what i saw from my elders and father). whenever me or someone else dances of our own dancing it gives me goosebumps so as the haka. i am happy to see when young people carry their flag and their tradition if this is new zealand , abkhazia or somewhere else. and this haka dance really makes me exciting when i watch it. its maybe offensive or not , or maybe provoking i dont know but i think its very traditional and epic. i just can imagine how they do this in the battle field back in the days. just keep it up guys.make it live what you have left there.

    Man if someone embraced my culture, I will be all for it but it's a shame that some Maori people here find it offensive that other ethnicities are embracing their culture by performing the haka.. Honestly in my opinion.. Your legend and heritage lives through those who take upon themselves to perform the haka and share that aspect of your culture.. It's a shame that now it's being performed everywhere and now y'all wanna all of sudden take it back!! Maybe you should've told that to your ancestors that shared the haka to begin with.. Lol honestly man geerauura here man!! Lol

      James Tuakalau no idea what your talking about bro. most of those people complaining on youtube are little kids.....that should say enough. in regards to the culture itself it isnt the new trend therefore when embracing there is an expectation to take hold of all that it encompasses. alot of culture and things these days are only surface level. stuff like this goes beyond and deeper. if we werent so judgemental about it the traditions will fade out.

    Arsene Knows Best any Tuturu Maori knows the meaning of a haka, and it was used for more than just war. whats fucken sad is your will to throw an uneducated opinion out on here without even knowing what it was all about. Pathetic. change your name to Arsene knows ass. Especially your 75% white remark, that cracked me up. you're an idiot/mohio . that is all.

    • @tewira
      @tewira Před 10 lety

      like is said, do some research. your 75% comment came out your ass. and then your hence the reason why theres no such thing as a full blooded maori came outta there straight after. they did haka back in the days for different reasons. these boys here did haka to tautoko their kaupapa they have going. and you....are talking out your ass. you might only be seeing white boys in this video coz these days we have colour monitors. no good watching the black and white tv boy its the year 2014

    • @mahinaoterangi93

      Arsene Knows Best You're right, a lot of Maori don't know much about our history and traditions. And I do agree that heaps of Maori think that getting taa moko is "enough", when really they should be learning our language, history, and so on. But you're ignorant and you don't even know half the shit you're on about, because a haka is also a sign of respect and equality. All that you've stated is your opinion, and who are you?

    • @isiahr4750
      @isiahr4750 Před 10 lety

      Arsene Knows Best who you said you had to be full maori to acknowledge your whanau/kaumatua/friends with a haka? coz in my eyes thats what it looks like your saying. Whats wrong with being white and doing a haka now? A haka isn't used just for war now, its used to thank people, its used to acknowledge people, its used for war (beginning of rugby ect), its used for everything. im white as but im still maori. i do agree you say they dont know much about their history, but atleast they're keeping maori art alive. and how much do you actually know about the maori culture, because your pretty white in your display picture, so don't go calling them white when your picture is a white dude with a soccerball on his head. Maybe you should change your name to "Arsene knows Fuck all"
