What street crossing was this? My wife is from South Boston, VA and I'm somewhat familiar with the railroad lines in town, being a railfan. I just don't recognize this particular location for some reason. I remember when the Southern Rwy. still ran a train through from Keysville to Danville on Sunday morning. I'd stand out on the porch of my inlaws house up on a hill near Turbeville and watch the train in the distance as it followed the windings of the Dan River west of Paces, VA. Sad day for me when the rails were pulled from South Boston to near Danville, and from Clover to Keysville. Last time I was down that way the N&W depot was still standing but the Southern depot had been long gone.

This is where the Clover spur, on the right, is switched from the mainline. The N&S depot still stands to the right of the lighter building.
