Unfathomable that this voice was from a 20 something girl. Such an amazing soulful voice.

Another beautiful person taken far too early. She died when I was in high school. I damn near died of drugs and alcohol when I was 28. I was very lucky. Janis was very talented. RIP, dear.

These people's drama is somewhat ridiculous. It might seem that it is about love. But is more about ownership. Did I make you feel like you own me? What's that? A non-written slavery contract? Why would anyone care about such non-sense? It's just absurd.

I'm age 73 woman who remembers well the Pearl album; I had to purchase 2 copies over a period of time for playing it so many times. Still have a copy. Incredible to think that she Janis was 27 years of age when she passed; I don't think we'll see somebody like here again in my lifetime.

Janis is my best friend's favorite artist. She is in hospice right now, only expected to live a few days. This is for you, Ada. I love you.

I'm 24 Years old and this music is so much better than some of the music we have now its quite sad what happened to music however I do love vocal synth I don't like any other music besides this kind and vocal synth.

My father’s nickname was dog eatin Dave, and according to him and friends/family he knew Janis and he and would often talk about being in love with her, and how him and friend tried to set her straight on a constant basis. I never got any letters or pictures or anything after my father passed, but I do remember at the age of 11 or 12 him showing me nude pics of a woman he called Janie’s Joplin and whenever one of her songs came on the radio he would talk about how ‘’he knew her before she was famous’’ and how they ‘’almost became lovers’’ Not sure if I want any of that to be true but.. well… then a again, pretty cool lore.
