NO ONE Has EVER Lived, To Talk About This Lost Mine
#lostmines #abandonedmines #buriedtreasure
This is a video about the Lost Broken Skull Mine. This mine is somewhere between Fort Mcdowell and Old Fort Verde Arizona. This hidden mine hasn't been found yet but men who did try to get the gold never lived to tell about it.
In was sometime back in the 1870's that a small group of of Cavalry soldiers out of Ft McDowell were on their way north to Fort Verde. As they were travelling along the Verde River north, the soldiers decided to set up camp as there was only a couple of hours of sunlight left. The next day, a couple of the soldiers were sent out to locate a horse that has gotten loose during the night. Now these two young soldiers knew very well they were Apache country and had heard stories of the Apache raids and being out here made them a bit more than just a little nervous. However the two men saddled up and started to follow the horses tracks and after a couple of hours of riding they found they horse.
On their way back to the camp instead of following the river, they decide to tak a short cut over the ridge. While traveling along through a narrow canyon, they soon came across what looked like an old camp set up. At first they noticed an old fire pit and some of the bushes had been hacked away. It wasn't long before they noticed human remains that looked like they had been smashed and human bones scattered about. They could tell that these people had been there for quite some time and figured maybe they were either Mexican or maybe even Spanish miners who had been here.

Well if no one ever lived to talk about this mine, how does anyone know it was lost or that there even IS a mine?
This is the reason why you don't want to talk about this old lost mine. Thanks for watching. Appreciated.
I never knew that Butch Cassidy and bunch got into mining!
Once you start reading into these old towns you would be surprised to see how many people traveled from town to town. Wyatt Earp was one of those guys who ended up in almost every old west mine town. Thanks for watching! New video every Saturday.
With no old mine town pictures on this one. How did you hear about tjis story? Intresting as usual.
Old stories buried away in old lost treasure magazines. When I was a kid I could never figure out how anyone could find a gold mine and then couldn't remember where it was. Now that I am much older I can see how that happens. I find myself loosing things almost everything everyday. Thanks for watching. We'll be back with old mine towns next week.
@@oldlostminerI can understand that. I used to read a few of those magazines myself.

I found a white quartz mine close to sears kay ruins. Collapsed. It’s actually under the ruins. Or used to run under the hill. And found a hidden water source.
That is soooo cool!

I can give you an update on your treasure #2 - this spring we went in search of it and found out that a billionaire had bought all the land around Canyon Springs stage station and it is now off-limits to anyone who wants to search for this treasure - Treasure #5 was buried or lost at the stage station right after hold up but finding where this stage station was, seems to be the real search but if found then it would be a good place to start, given the terrain of the area the treasure that would have been in 3 boxes of 15 $5K bags each were most likely hidden in a small cavern covered with rocks to make it look natural as burying it would have been noticed with the disturbed earth. One of your commenters is right if you find something it is best not to tell ))

Silver is way more important to the eco nazis than Uranium...
Yes you are correct. That's one of the reasons why silver price is so manipulated to stay low. If silver prices were to ever break out and go back to the silver gold ratio 16:1 the eco dream would fall apart. Just my opinion though. Hey thanks for watching. I appreciate it!!
You are right ! I'd have no desire to live there 👌We had one uranium mine here in Victoria Australia & it was of no value !

You have very good perception. I've never noticed until you mentioned. I had to blow the image up 150% in size to really notice. With the animals and arrows also maybe it has something to do with local natives?? I'm not even even going to take a guess. Extralateral rights is proof of the sought mineral vein or deposit that is existing on your mining claims, is extending beyond your mining claims boundary lines, giving the first one to stake and file mining claims on the contested mineral vein or deposit, the extra lateral rights, but "below the surface only", and on all the mineral rights only on the same mineral vein or deposit below the surface, and without having to file mining claims beyond your existing mining claims. But this does not give you mineral rights to the surface of the land, only mineral rights below the ground surface. These underground mineral rights only pertain to the said mineral and metal vein or deposit. Extralateral rights did not give you the rights to underground mineral veins or deposits that are not an extension of your mining claims mineral or metal deposit, even when in close proximity to the extralateral rights you are claiming to have. Some underground mining at the same GPS surface location was underground mined by two separate non-affiliated companies, with mining out of two different non-affiliated mine portals The extralateral rights is usually contested in court with the court verdicts different for each court case because of the ability of only having to prove it is more likely than not, instead of proving beyond reasonable doubt. When the US Congress passed the 1994 Reconciliation Act, our Congress had invalidated or "wiped out" all of the 122 years of previous extralateral rights case law, with the extralateral rights replaced by the "new $100 holding fee" (more than double the price today), which also eliminated having to make a mineral discovery and assessment work, on or for, each mining claim. Today all us old school prospectors call the new "holding fee" nothing more than a "speculator fee" that eliminates having to prove discovery that a mineral or metal deposit exists (named discovery), before staking and filling a mining claim.
Hey thanks for all that information. Some future readers of comments will undoubtedly find a lot of that information valuable. Thanks for watching too. Appreciate it.
Interesting story as usual. Keep up the good work.

It's that 60 million in dollars of that era?
I found that when most historical writings about when dollar values are mentioned, it's the amount of recorded gold or silver that was officially cashed into dollars through a mint or bank at the time. So I am assuming that when they mentioned 60 million dollars that would have been 60 million dollars recorded on the ledgers over the 70 years they mined. I use to placer mine myself and I know a lot of miners who sold gold for cash and it was never recorded. Larger mines of course sell large quantities and will sell through the smelters or mints and all ounces are recorded. Mines will sell some or maybe all the gold for needed cash flow and may also hedge if they think gold price is going up. Some old mine records will show total ounces that was extracted and not a dollar value. Most of these old mines were mining gold at around $18-$20 and ounce for years as the gold price never really changed until 1934 when the US government revalued it to $35 an ounce. That was a year after everyone in the USA was suppose to surrender their gold the year earlier. I hope this sheds some light on the subject. I myself ask these same questions many times reading up on old historical information. Thanks for watching this morning. Appreciate the feedback and the views.
@@oldlostminer very informative thank you that does answer my question. Yeah it's nice when it's recorded in ounces cuz then you know exactly the dollar value relative to The present. Crazy to think with the value of gold today is $2,500 125x gold at $20 The price we pay for a massive federal deficit.
Great story, keep them coming. Thank you.

I worked on a lining and levelling gang for the Northern Alberta Railway in the summer of 1975. We were working on the lines in Peace River one day when an ore train came through from Pine Point. If I recall correctly, the train had six locomotives. The brakes on the train had to be heavily deployed in order to avoid a runaway as the train descended the banks of the river valley into the town of Peace River. As a result, you could only see the first few rail cars. All of the rest were lost in the smoke from the brake shoes. It looked as though the train was on fire.
Thank you for sharing and for watching. It's appreciated.
