Cleaning a Laurastar System
Hey all,
Laurastar recommends you flush your system once a month to keep your iron working at its peek performance. For those of you with a system, here is a rundown of how you flush your system. It's really not that hard and it's pretty fast once you know what you are doing.
If you are interested in a Laurastar, you can find a retailer at Laurastarus.com or feel free to send me a message and I can help you out.
Thanks for watching,
Adam

Hey all, If you have a Laurastar System, I'm sure you have felt the awkwardness of folding that system up. It's not like our normal boards and written directions just don't get the point across. Here's a quick video of the folding process for a Lauarstar System. It's easy, once you see it and understand what's going on. I like to call it the tilt and fold If you are interested in a Laurastar, y...

Flag Panel

Hi all, Today we are stitching out the Riley Blake flag panel. I love to play on a panel and if you are new to longarm quilting or are still a little scared of your machine, a panel is a great way to practice. You can practice your areas with Pro-Stitcher or practice stitching the ditch with rulers. Both are fantastic ways to hone your skills and grow with your longarm. I'm using designs in the...

    This was exactly what I needed. I had to cut a block in half. So as not to lose my way, I air stitched and noted the stitch count of the segments I needed to crop out. After getting all the segments, all I had to do was put them in an order for optimal stitching. It worked! Thanks!

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun. Před 16 dny

      We had very hard water here in Palm Springs too. I use my tap for my Lift models and use mostly bottled spring in my System. I tell people to go ahead and try the tap because that's one of the great things about a Laurastar, if you have any issues with spitting, then switch to bottled spring.

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun. Před 29 dny

      If you didn’t save, you have to try to recreate the design set up. I usually open the design I’m using and try to resize it to match the size I have stitched. Then I use that size and make the repeats I need.

    Do you have a video on how to set up the 2 programmable buttons? Left corner/right corner?

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun. Před 29 dny

      I don’t. It’s very easy to set those up though. On the machine screen, where you can pick the M/R, select the settings gear. Then you will see the star/diamond icon. Here you have drop down menus next to the icons, just make your selection on that drop down. Not sunset you are asking about with the corner question?

    Hi Adam, I am from Germany, the owner of an Amara and PS. In Germany we don‘t have much support in managing the PS and I am looking for an advice to avoid designs/patterns that sew back the already sewn quilting lines. Is it possible to simulate a design with the PS without sewing and did you mention this in one of your tutorials? Thank you for any answer, Carolin

    Hi Adam, your videos are really helpful! I am following the E2E instructions and on saving the design space, under the save tab I only have selected. I don’t have design space that pops up. 🤔 Now I only have pro stitcher lite but I read somewhere that you could still save the design space in lite.

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun. Před měsícem

      The PS Lite cannot save workspaces or areas. In that case, just save selected. Just super important to change the name in that case.

    Sorry to throw this at you, but I’ve been trying to work through this for a week and my Handi Quilter dealer doesn’t know what’s going on. I have been trying to stitch an Edge to Edge design. ProStitcher will sew the tack down, but once it gets to the design it starts tracing (ghost stitching). Yes I’m turning the machine on in the right order and yes the stitch button is selected. Have you had this happen to you before? I love these panels that are coming out now (Angela Walters). That look like you pieced it and once you quilt it no one knows! Thanks for showing us this!

    • @adamsewfun.
      @adamsewfun. Před měsícem

      No clue what’s going on with your machine, that’s a questions you are going to have to take to tech support. What machine and what version of PS are you using? The only thing I can think of is try to reinstall whatever version you are using, that might fix the problem. They never taught us the more technical stuff.

    When do you baseline? Baseline when the workspace is opened? baseline when a new design is brought in? baseline when you add designs in the row? It's important to know specifically when the baseline function should be used.Please edit to address baselining when using this process.
