Sonoma 04/10/2024 Wednesday night drags test & tune
zhlédnutí 23Před 3 měsíci
I'm from Sonoma County California 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Wow ..did you know that you got smoked by the other car ?
Lol yes that car is in a different class we are test & tune racing meaning not for the win but for testing and tuning. the other car had probably over 900 hp with a whipple supercharger and modern tuning his CAI and throttle boddie are huge I'm sure if he is racing other cars in his class it wouldn't have looked like this. I'm just testing a new carb Plain and simple.
You got me at 6:11 .. This camera is wild !
My 68 GTX was awesome for well over 1/4 mile burn outs and awesome traction shake on hook up
Definitely Emmy award winning material.
Roll the windows up dummy
Awesome!!!!👍Please check out my 1968 Barracuda fastback powered by a rowdy 512 stroker backed by an A833 4 speed manual. I think you'll approve. 👌
Ahhh ..... That's a beautiful noise! I'm old enough to remember when Muscle Cars were on the hunt and hearing the roar of beautiful ground-poundung, atmosphere-sucking beasts whenever a nearby traffic light would catch two of them with it's red color then release them on green! Great music, great cars, great girls and great times!! Salute!!
Just a big show off. And I'm jealous 😂
Me too !!!😭😭😭
Where I come from that’s not a burnout. Just a fool waiting tires!
oi mate, found the strayan bugga
nice, but I want to see them race.
I tried something like this with my 86 c10 with my revamped 5.7 vortec, it sounds exactly like your footage at 35mph in 3rd gear through my th350 . Only when I floor it kinda lose control of traction for a bit and kinda sounds like a Nascar motor. But I went with total volumeric efficiency and profiled the camshaft to exploit this
Satellite
Why satellite ??
Should have just flooredit and saved on the brakes you should have been able to get the same results my 71 cuda does
Brake torque…
69 beeps but a coyote aint one
Show the 4cyl boys what power is. No need to rev to 8k, far to much fuss lol!
true
also no torque
I bought a satellite which looks just like this car. I really want it back. 😫
Thanks for sharing this. Looks like a thrill to drive.
Acelera, hasta que te recortes las uñas con el abanico. Jejejeje saludos, desde monterrey n.l. mexico
what fans
Cool😎😎😎😎😎😎
Awesome video, go Mopar!!
what if the number model of those fans?
Spal 12" do not know the part # sorry
This sounds great!!! Perfect rumble! I have never used glass packs, do they replace the mufflers or are they added?
They are after the mufflers. Like resonators. Hemi cars used resonators at the tail end near the tips helps with dronimg in the cab
That sounds and looks great!!!!
Both my temp gauge and my fuel are not working, I replaced the 3 prong limiter thing but could not find the condenser looking part. So I put in one from a distributor. Still doesn’t work. Ideas?
Grounds, make sure the cluster is tight. Check the power feed from the fuse box to the cluster. The power limiter (3 prong thing) ruduces 12 volts DC to 5 volts DC so the gauges will work. Both fuel and temp sensors basically use resistance to slightly raise or lower the 5 vdc which is what you see when the needle moves. If thw feed power is missing to the limiter neither of those gauges will work. The fuel gauge works off the negetive side of the voltage make sure the ground strap is in place at the lines at the tank. You can get wiring diagrams at mymopar.com under tools section.
What fans are those?
Not sure of the brand
good with bending the tabs, BUT why not just bend the end if the rod slightly so it doesn't hit the tube when empty?
This is more about how to calibrate the gauge than have a sending unit be perfect. You can bend the tabs for sure that is just one way to get a wider range of ohms readings.
Yep. a lot of that happening with Comp Cams Hydraulic Roller Lifters.
Where online would be the best place to find this online and what would be the best brand. Is it 5/16
Spartan 118 there are many places like Year One or Classic industries or ebay, try Vans automotive or Partsmix or Dantes parts or Megaparts just to name a few even Amazon has them now. 5/16" is tje factory size for the tubing but you can get a 3/8" and just adjust the rubber tube from tje feed line from tje pump to the sending unit up to you. A lot of us gave upgraded from the 5/16" to 3/8" all the way to the carb.
My good friend Dan Daley a/k/a "The worlds greatest Drag Racer" has a 493 and turns 10.60 all day long @ Quaker City in Salem Ohio. He only races so many races but almost always wins.
Testing #bigmanjbmopar
My Brother-in-law has a green 69 Road Runner that has sat under a tree for 20 years and he will not sell the damn thing to me for nothing. It's got a 440 and is just wasting away. I would love to stick my foot up his ass. But man that is one sweet ride you got there. You have the greatest muscel car ever made hands down. Thanks for the ride along. Just made my night. Be safe and enjoy.
We had been hanging the valves open all this time adjusting like we had hydraulic rollers. once it was figured out we made the correct solid roller adjustments and yes the solid rollers are a bit noisy but WOW what a power difference. I did confirm with Comp Cams that these solid rollers will work with this hydraulic cam. So there ya go.
OK so the story goes, I bought the wrong lifters! Well wrong as far as they were not what I thought they were. I have the Xtreame energy hydraulic cam from Comp Cams I thought I was buying hydraulic lifters too, I didn't spend a minute to re check the part numbers and installed the lifters I got which turned out to be solid rollers! this changes the way you set up the valve adjustment.
