CPTAC-GBM cohort genetic data is not linked to individual case. Making it difficult for researchers to integrate it with radiology.
What if there is other polymorphism that is affecting the outcome (through a different mechanism to the one you are suspecting) and whose genetic segregation is linked (could be due to genetic linkage or biased mating selection) to the polymorphism you are studying, then it could result in confounding and not causation?
Hi, This seems like an increadibly useful tool. Is this available for other cancer types, or are we able to upload CPTAC data into it, or it is limited to ccrcc?
He is making this quite obscure and complicated even for a geneticist!!
Extremely informative
U r the only one who upload video on this topic

Great!
Thank you. Saw Dr. Murray at Jackson Labs CT early 2017..Maine Cancer Genomics Initiative is a most important demonstration of equitable translation of research to practice in genomics. . Thanks. Sorry for technical bumps Dr. Ferro.Distracting; Points made by Geisinger for case finding in State of PA, argue against proliferation of so many "Health Care System" programs..IMO
Great video! Always glad to see professionals on the podium!
So what do I do when in split second after opening the gdc-client quits with "too few argments"" error?
Hi Nikolay, the #NCIGDC Help Desk is available at support@nci-gdc.datacommons.io toassist with questions or issues. See gdc.cancer.gov/support.
I got same error. I could not use it in Ubunto. When you ask someone they just send a link.
Probably not going to get an answer here, but any chance a new video will be made now that the cbioportal has been retired? Cannot for the life of me figure out the GDC Data Portal.
Yes, the GDC is indeed planning a new series of instructional videos! They are a work in progress, however, so to get immediate help with accessing or analyzing data, please email the GDC help staff at support@nci-gdc.datacommons.io. Your questions and feedback will also help guide the topics we cover in the videos so we encourage you to reach out. Thanks!
Nice video ;)
Verry good 😊
very enlightening
This webinar series is a great initiative. With whatever I am seeing and learning, Precision Medicine will surely improve Public Health. But it won't happen overnight. We are talking about complex diseases like cancer, diabetes, etc. It will take several decades before we can expect significant impact from genomics on public health.
