Thank you 4yrs later!!just got a couple of these and like you didn’t quite know how to use and now I do!!!
💜I love Steampunk & I love these cards💜
Oh thank you so much! Glad you liked them! :)
What pattern is your Santa?
It's my own creation. :) I have several original charts on eBay. Here are my Santas --- www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_blrs=recall_filtering&_ssn=bellastitchery&store_cat=0&store_name=bellastitchery&_oac=1&_nkw=santa%20cross%20stitch
You look like you doing the Victorian Cross stitchway. It looks awesome, and it works for you. Looks awesome. I have seen some people do the Danish Cross-stitch way on u tube, and some do the English way. 😮
Oh that's fun to learn! Who knew there were so many ways to make tiny X's? :)
I always take my pattern to Staples to get laminated then I use a dry erase pen.
Oh, I never would have thought of that! :)
What kind glue you use it please share the name
I use this Art Glitter Glue - it's absolutely incredible and it holds really well. amzn.to/4afnYPV --thanks so much!
Yes.
Thanks for stitching with me!
Saw this method several months ago but the first time I tried it I became very confused but I'm trying again and you were a great teacher. Thank you for sharing
Oh thanks so much! That really means a lot to me. Happy stitching and thanks for crafting with me!
I work lower left to top right, then lower right to top left, working across the row before turning back. Is there an advantage to the way you do it? How do you keep skin oils from discoloring the fabric?
For me, it's just a matter of what's comfortable to handle and stitch. I always wash and dry my hands before taking anything out of my cross stitch bag, so I've never had issues with staining or discoloration. I make sure not to have any kind of lotion on too.
Thanks for the great video and time saving techniques! I was wondering how you design your cross stitch patterns and if you test stitch them before you put them in your shop?
Thank you so much for your comments and kind words! I use a software program called PC Stitch and it gives me a digital version of what they will look like stitched. I have stitched several of my patterns (maybe close to a dozen?) but certainly not all 1,000+ lol. I love getting updated finished project photos from customers so I can see lots of different tapestries that way and share them on social media. I keep a file on my computer of buyer's finished project pics.
@@bellastitchery8043Thanks for the response!
so beautiful
Oh thank you so much! That makes my day 💕
Just gorgeous!! 💝
Thanks friend!! Sending hugs from SD!
So cool!!
Thanks so much my friend! Hope you had a great holiday season - I just now feel like I’m caught up 😅
It was quiet but lovely. I’ve spent January laying low and dealing with family issues. Haven’t even scrolled ig. It’s nice to see you back on the tube. ❤️ @bellastitchery8043
I wish you a happy and healthy 2024! It always brightens my day to see your name pop up - thanks for crafting with me. :) @@Kaylyn628

Thank you! I am just starting my first cross stitch.
That's awesome! I hope you have lots of fun with it! Happy stitching!
wow I loved your video, I bought a uniquely creative steampunk boutique kit and I found your video. You provided me with so many ideas for card making that I hadn't thought of and I have never used wax before. Men's cards are so hard to make and your cards are just perfect and very easy to make. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a happy new year. xx
Thank you so much for your kind message! I'm so glad you enjoyed the tutorial and I'm happy to have you crafting with me! Happy New Year!
What a beautiful card you made, there's a lot you can do with tissue paper. I make a lot of Tonic boxes and I like to put matte mod podge on the outside to make them sturdier. I used a very similar lacy die cut for the edges of my last box. If you have flower dies, just cut multiple layers and glue together in the center. Tissue paper is also nice for word shadows when you want a flat card. Thanks for the video.
Thank you so much! I love the idea of tissue paper flowers! Thanks for crafting with me and for offering such unique ideas! Happy crafting!

I no this is a old post but only just come up on my feed I do your first method but I can’t work out how to go back Ive just been carrying my floss back then starting from the right again
Hi! Thanks for reaching out! To finish the stitch, simply flip your cloth over upside-down and stitch back. :)
@@bellastitchery8043 thank you so much…..you are a star 🌟
Oh thank you! I'm so glad you could stitch with me - hope this helps!
Beautiful cards! I used to take card classes at our local paper craft store. It was a small mom & pop shop here in Ontario, California. I subscribed to your channel today.
Oh thank you so much! I'm so glad you like the cards! I used to do card classes at a scrapbook store in Las Vegas and it was so much fun to craft with a group once a month. :) Thanks for subscribing! That really means a lot to me!
Absolutely beautiful! Love this. You are so damn amazing!
Awww thank you for saying so! I'm so glad to hear that!
Im so happy i found you! Thank you so much for this video! I've been searching for ways to color the quick resin. The quick set resin is my favorite resin right now. I love your teaching style, too! You are funny and happy. I use mica powders in the mold then pour. When it's cured I add some to the surface, then use gloss spray sealer, and it looks like it's made of glass or ceramic. I love your ideas. I'm going to try them right now. Thanks again for sharing. I'm looking forward to binge watching all your videos.
Oh thank you so much for your kind message! That made my Monday. I'm so glad you could craft with me and I hope you stay in touch! xoxo
And a perfect activity while binge watching tv!
Oh for sure! It's a great combo! I usually cut out a bunch of leaves and clocks, which I use on practically everything and binge watch shows. :)
I've read thru the comments and will add mine to the positive side =) I appreciate your video and am excited I found one of the Chrome Precision plates online!! After spending a few hours today ... wasting SO much card stock and losing my patience trying 3 different cutting machines with metal shims that I'm about to go postal LOL 😉. I was never successful with anything I tried so was about to throw my dies into the trash, then I found your video and have hope 🙌🏻 Fingers crossed I have the same success as you! 🤞🏻
Thanks so much for your comments! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do - I still use mine all the time and it's AMAZING!
Only 4 years later :) I so want to learn this sewing method but it messes with my brain so much the last times I've attempted. One more try before giving up! It sure would cut down on time for my big full coverage piece with has several BIG areas of the same color (sky, grass etc). Looked up a small kitty cat silhouette pattern I'm going to try with.
Wishing you luck! I encourage you to keep trying and find what works best for you. Happy stitching!
Love this ... can't wait to try it...been a stitch for almost 40 years
Oh thank you so much! I hope you love it! Happy stitching!
I love it!!!, But How would I do it for a lefty ? 😂😂😂
Actually.... if you flip it upside down it works for Lefty's 😁
Oh good to know! @@jammiknox1339
What is the powdered ink that you used in the Shaker or the little pot it sounded like Lindy's, but I couldn't understand the details?thanks!at 16:00 in your video
Hi! It's called Lindy's Gang Magicals - they are on sale on Amazon now too! They're so cool amzn.to/3RfCTTw
Will thewax not work straight onthe card stock. What is the purpose for the gesso?
I find that the gesso makes the paint stick and pop more than when it's directly on the cardstock. It also sets the gears to the cardstock so it looks like one big piece (instead of seeing the edges of the die-cuts on top (plus you can use different colors of cardboard or paper for the dies if you paint them all black). :)
Gosh they’re pretty.
Oh thank you for saying so! I had fun experimenting with new card sizes this month. Working on some Halloween cards this week - may have to do some in that new, taller size too. I kinda like it - what do you think?
Thank you for sharing this! I am a cross country stitcher but I wanted to learn how I could stitch faster like those that do the parking method. This is lovely.
Oh thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked the tutorial. I've never met a cross country stitcher before - that sounds amazing! Thanks for stitching with me today!
Oh my goodness! They’re all so cute. 🐝 ❤
Thank you sweet friend! I really had a lot of fun with these 🥰🐝
Very pretty!! 🌵🌸
Thank you so much! 💚
Fabulous!!
Thanks so much friend! I'm glad you like it!
It’s good to see you back on YT, even just for a minute. 💖@@bellastitchery8043
I've stitched this way for YEARS. I'm 72 LOL
Isn't it so much faster? It's really made it more engaging for me too. I used to feel a bit bored and restless before. :)
This was fun! You really have a nice voice and personality for these videos. Thanks!
I've been stitching for a few years, so glad I came across your video. I'm about to start a rather large project, this stitch will probably cut my time in half. Can't wait to get started. Many thanks!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial!
Love it love it love it. First time I have seen your work. Love how you just go with your gut.
Oh thank you so much! I'm so glad you could craft along with me this weekend!
I stitch faster grandma style lol
Ha! Whatever works for you, right? That's the nice thing about crafting in general - do it the way you want. :)
Love the bow❤
Oh thank you so much for saying so! xoxo
Hi ... Just "found" you on the Net ... Loved this video. Question ... Could you do just about the same techniques but on photos instead of paper?
Welcome and thanks for crafting with me! I think photos would work, depending on the type of photo paper. Matte photo paper should work, but glossy may not tear the same way. I would just experiment a bit and see how it turns out. :)
A bit disappointed that your new fast way is the way I always stitched. 😆 This is how we learned in school. Can’t imagine doing it any other way, but was hoping you had an even faster way. Thanks for the tutorial though, seems like it helped a lot of people! 😊
I'm glad you never wasted a decade on the slow stitching like I did - lol. I don't know why I never saw this before I found it accidentally. I used to find cross stitching somewhat boring before. I think it was just way too slow the other, full X, way.
So, I cross stitched years ago and just yesterday I got out my unfinished projects to think about finishing or giving away. This is interesting because I remember when I learned, I was told that all your x's have to be done the same, i.e. either right to left top to bottom first then left to right top to bottom to complete the x or any combination you want but I was told that if you change it up throughout your piece, it will look uneven and ragged and unprofessional. So have you noticed that you can tell a difference when you do all half stitches then all the other side of half stitches in a row or when you do a row of complete x's?
I hope you finish the projects you started - I need to get back to mine too. It's been awhile since I've done much stitching (too many crafts, too little time). I haven't had any issues with changing up the way I stitch throughout, but I always have them stretched and framed, so it all evens out that way anyway. :)
Brown shoe polish works and is cheaper. Also bingo dabbers are much cheaper than ink pads. My favorite thing about doing my paper crafts is to find my items for free, then go through it all and figure out how to use them.
Oh I love that! I'm trying to get better at using the supplies I have or can find (rather than hitting "add to cart" every single day) :)
Yes...I cross stitch without the hoop. I was born in Europe so that's how my mother taught me to stitch this way. It definitely is much faster.
Oh yay! I'm so glad you find it easier too - seems like people either hate or love the hoop. :)
I will try the trick with turning fabric upside down - the only one that hasn't hit me yet even though it's probably the easiest of them 🙂
Thanks for stitching with me! Hope the upside down trick works for you! :)
Beautiful! Thanks, very helpful ❤😊
Oh thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
